(A/N: Well, it's time for the third Contest chapter, and the last one for the summer arcs of this story. Yay! Before we get into the chapter, though, I like to mention one thing. After this chapter, the three chapters leading up to the two-parter Gym Battle with Korrina will be filler. Yes, I know everyone hates filler, but given how I sorta wanted to have some chapters that isn't driven by the story, I decided to make the three chapters filler. So, um, eat my filler, I guess. I'll put them in the chapters after this arc and the next.)
Last time on Spiky Shielding Quilladin!: Light and Shauna have their second rival battle, showing how much they had progress so far. After some back and forth between the two, Shauna wins due to Spina, who evolved into a Chesnaught during the tail end of the battle.
At the same time, Dark trained his team, the battle he had with Tierno and Trevor still fresh in his mind, while recalling the moment Yveltal convinced him not to train. At the end of the day, Dark, happy with the results of the training, gloats about how no one will tell him and his team that they are weak or strong: they'll know that themselves.
Now the day of the Shalour Contest is upon Tierno, Shauna and Serena. However, the Contest will be much harder with Anna and Lisia. Who will win the Shalour Ribbon? Will their improvements impress Palermo? And more importantly, when and where will the next Contest be? Find out in this chapter!
