"Obscure Star"
For she's torn inside,
numerous tears she cried.
Her heart
played like a puppet on strings,
crashed into smithereens
and then left outside to wither
to become a feast for the vultures.
For her loving heart is used,
Brutally abused;
treated like a junked chattel
before being throwned in a puddle.
He is a fool,
emetic,
pathetic,
reprobate,
degenerate,
Utterly stupid and heartless;
someone who couldn't distinguish a goddess
from a gaudy harlot.
Didn't he know what he'd just lost,
whom he'd just toss?
Didn't he know he'd traded a diamond
for a handful of tawdry coals?
For he had wrecked her heart
in many ways you'd call swart.
He took advantage of her naivete,
stole her innocence in a sway
and, now, she's hurt,
insecure despite her real worth.
Didn't she know,
while she cried
like a broken angel
for the blackhearted devil;
from afar, someone worships her
as if she is heaven's only shining star
