Love me for who I am
I am not your subject;
I am not an object;
I am not your possession;
I too have emotions
Love me because I am me
Not because I'm a means to an end,
Don't treat me like an option
Or have me because to your problems
I am a temporary solution;
I have a heart
and it also gets hurt
Love me for my soul
Not because of the favors I give
Nor for what I can do for you;
I do them because I love you
and my feelings are true
Love me without any conditions
I have given you my heart freely;
Though it's difficult,
I turn a blind eye to your faults
Because my love is unselfish
And my heart's devoted only to you
