5 Years On: A Danganronpa V3 Story

Chapter 13

Shuichi's POV

These past few days have been stressful. After Kaede was allowed out of the hospital, I been involved in a really big case. A homicide. A man in his 30s who worked as a CEO in a huge technology company. And because of that, I haven't had much time to Look after Kaede. She insists that she can look after herself, but I disagree. So I asked Kaito and Miu if they could look after her while I'm away. I'm thankful that they agreed.

My shift is done. Thank god! Today's been really stressful. Somehow some of the evidence has went missing. And I was the last person to investigate it, so nearly the WHOLE department put the blame on me. It took about 2 HOURS for them to realise that it couldn't of been me. I walk out of the building we're investigate, not giving a toss about the heavy rain, and got into my car and started the half an hour drive home.
I turn on the radio. Two guys are talking.
"...And that's NOT how to get a girlfreind....anyway Akio, do you love podcasts?"
"Do I Daichi! I love them"
"Well your in for a treat tonight, we got the creators of one of the most famous podcasts ever here with us right now. Say hello to Rantaro Amami and Tsumugi Shirogane, creators of Fiction or Fact!"

Clapping can be heard. I heard Rantaro saying he was going to be on the radio sometime this week
"Well, Rantaro and Tsumugi, what does it feel like to be the creators of one of the most popular podcasts of all time"
"It's...uh...It's really interesting. I mean, we started this as a little joke but somehow we got SUPER popular and here we are" Rantaro says
"Well, it's maybe cause I posted it on my Insta and all of my followers checked it out" Tsumugi says
"We have a few Questions for you two" Akio says
"Ask away" Rantaro says
"Well-"
Before he can finish, a notification pops up. My Co-Worker, Kyoko Kirigiri has sent me a text.

'Hey Shuichi, good news! We found the evidence. Someone put it in a bag, we sadly haven't found the ACTUAL culprit yet (I know it's not you), but just wanted to text you this to hopefully put you in a better mood'
I smile and continue the journey home.

I open the door and put my coat away. I can faintly hear a piano. Confused, I open the door to the living room. Kaede is playing the piano, of course she is, ever since the accident and not being able to join any contests she's tried her best to play. She's playing better than last time.
She stops and looks at me
"Shuichi!" She says "Your home! And just in time is Well!"
I walk over to her and kiss her forehead.
"Where's Kaito and Miu? Did they go home early?"
"No, they went to get something, but they should be here-"
Before Kaede can finish her sentence, the door slams open and laughter can be heard
"-Now..."

"We're back!"
The door shuts and Miu and Kaito walk in, a box in hand
"Did you see the rain?" Miu asks "It was fucking pouring down, Oh hi Poochi!"
I roll my eyes at Miu's Comment
"What's in the box?" I ask
"No-nothing" Miu stutters
"Yeah, wh-what she said" Kaito say
I turn my head to Kaede
"Kaede.." I say seriously
She smiles
"It's ok guys, you can show him"
Miu places the box down and opens it. Out comes a dog made of metal? It has glowing blue eyes and wheels instead of paws
"...." I was speechless
"Aww, so cute!" Kaede says "Uh...Miu? what exactly is...It?" I ask
"It's a fucking Robo dog! That's what it is!"
"Why do you have a Robo dog exactly?"
"Well, tomorrow is 2 years since me and Kiibo started dating. So this is my gift for him! A robo dog named Sparky!"
Sparky looks over to me and skids over to me, and wags it's tail. I clap it and it barks
"Is it a boy or girl?" I ask
"Boy"
Sparky skids back to HIS box and somehow gets in it
"And why where you trying to hide it from me?" I ask
"Well, I don't want anyone opening there fucking mouths about it...........annnnnnd he's going to stay here for the night
"......what?" I say
"Told you it wouldn't work" Kaito says
Miu hits kaito
"Ow!"
"Shut up dumass!"
"Guys" Kaede intturupts "Can we not argue please?"
Miu rolls her eyes
".....sorry"
"Thank you"
Miu looks at me
"Anyway, Shuichi, can you look after sparky until tomorrow........please?"
I look at Kaede, she nods
"Fine" I say
Miu rushes over and hugs me
"Thank you!"
She let's go
"Well, I need to go now. You coming Kaito?"
"Uh, sure! See you two later"
Kaito and Miu walk out of our house.
"Well" I say "What can you do sparky?"

Oh my god!
I'm sorry I haven't uploaded in forever. I just wasn't feeling like it. It's like 1.30 am where I live right now and I can't sleep so I decided to finish this
Anyway, I'm planning to change my Schedual soon.
