Many Creatures Come Out For You

Many creatures come out for you.
Many come to greet me, too.
Some people don't say hello--
They don't possess the magic to see them glow.

In Spring we have the flowering Fae,
She pushes the ice from the ocean's bay.
Her hair is of blossoms and her perfume lifts the air
Of Winter's chill with much care.

The dragon of summer flame warms her heart
And carries her away on his back throughout the season of life's depart.
With her, they collide and he breathes upon the earth,
His fire setting it ablaze, gently from his hearth.

He burns until the leaves turn brown
And Spring goes to sleep beneath the moldy crown.
He lingers sleepily until he dies off completely.
From the shadows and warm light spring another creature grinning most sweetly.

He dreams of Winter's fairy as he allows her winds to blow.
Off go the leaves, as he dances in them to and fro!
He withholds a romance you yearn for in the night under the full moon's glow.
A goblin he may be but a wizard to be,
Casting spells in smoky smells,
Disguised as many things you see.

And then we come to Winter's sweet fairy:
Of crystal is her staff, her breath chilled and airy.
She sprinkles dust on the sapphire snow,
From her blue lips comes her wrathful blow.
Wings of might and wings of winter light,
She is the last to become until her season be done.

You can see these creatures and many more that lurk within.
I'm not the one telling them
These are only out of my whim.
