Green Ranger

Chapter 18

I watched Jason run to a turned over blue truck. "Is it me or do these Putties remind you of an infestation?" I asked as Putties climbed over the Dragonzord. I looked out the cockpit seeing Putties on the snout of the Dragonzord. "That's a lot of Putties, Tommy." Zack said. "You're telling me. My Dragonzord has become a jungle gym for 'em." I said as the Zord rocked. A putty was punching the window of the Dragonzord. "Hey! Hands off my Dragon!" I yelled as a large explosion occurred. "Whoa!" I exclaimed watching Goldar fall back onto the Krispy Kreme. "Man...I loved that Krispy Kreme." I said before I noticed the Putty that was punching the window crumbled to pieces along with the rest of them. "Hey, Billy, you okay?" Zack asked. "Yeah, I'm okay." Billy answered. "That was crazy brave, dude." Zack stated. I walked to the window of the Zord. "Did we do it?" Kim asked. "Did we win?" Billy asked. "Yeah!" Zack exclaimed with a laugh. I squinted my eyes watching Goldar. Trails of gold moved toward a figure on the ground. "Uh....guys? You're seeing this too, right?" I asked raising the arm of the Dragonzord, pointing at Goldar. Goldar stood back up behind Rita. "Well...that was short-lived." I stated. Rita's gold staff flew into her hand. "She's back." Jason said. Goldar slammed two fists into the ground with a roar. A giant explosion erupted from beneath the impact and rubble flew into the air. "Whoa!" I exclaimed as chunks of rock hit the Dragonzord. The Zord rocked back and forth from the impact. I looked at a crater in the ground with wide eyes. "That's incredible." Billy said. "Oh, my God." Kim said. A green crystal glowing in the bottom of the crater. "Come on, let's go!" Jason said as he maneuvered the Tyrannosaurus Zord in front Goldar. The others followed. The Dragonzord stood motionless as I stared out at the the destroyed town that was my home. "Okay, everyone. Hold the line." Jason said as they lined up in front of Goldar. "Tommy!" Trini yelled. "Why is he just standing there?" Zack asked. "No idea." Billy said. "Hey! Tommy! You with us?" Jason asked. I looked at my hands and the Zord looked at its own. I slowly looked up at Goldar as the others fought against it. Goldar pushed them towards the crater. "Okay! We got this. Come on!" The all said. "Crush them!" Rita yelled. "Okay, fire!" Jason yelled. The five Rangers fired their weapons at Goldar. "No!" I whispered as the Rangers began to lose. I went to the control pedestal. I grabbed the Dragon Dagger and slammed it into the key slot. I walked forward and broke into a run towards Goldar. "Hey! Goldilocks!" I screamed from the right of him. Goldar looked at me. "Get away from my friends!" I yelled ramming into Goldar. Goldar flew back and got to its feet quickly. I threw punches at it and swung my drill tail. Goldar blocked the tail. "Oh no." I said. He grabbed the tail and pulled me to him slamming a gold fist into the head of the Dragonzord. Sparks sprayed within the control room of the Zord. I screamed as I fell to the floor with the Zord. Goldar threw a fire ball at Kim's Zord who attached to Jason. I groaned as I got to my feet. Goldar looked back at me and dragged me to the others and kicked me. I slammed into the wall of the control room with a shout of pain. I got to my feet slowly in front of the other five Rangers. "We're a family, you guys." I stated. "A family." Trini said. "That means...no matter what happens....We win....and lose...together." I finished. Goldar slammed the Dragonzord down to the ground and sparks flew everywhere. 

I looked out the window to see Kimberly's pink helmet off. I grunted as I took off the Green Ranger helmet and looked at it. I looked at Kim and pressed a hand to the window. She looked at me and did the same. "No one dies alone." Jason said. "I'm okay with that." Billy said. "Hold the line. Hold the line." Zack said weakly. "Zack...stay with us." Trini said. Goldar pushed us all into the crater. I screamed as the Dragonzord flipped head over heels with a metallic roar. I screamed within the control room as I slammed into the walls and ceiling of the Zord. Flames consumed the Dragonzord. I looked out the Zord and watched the others falling as well. I felt the Zord begin to shift. I screamed as I was suddenly jerked to the left and back to the right. I watched as the chest plate of the Dragonzord detached and transformed. The arms of the Zord then disappeared into the body. "What's happening?!" I shouted as I crashed to the floor. I spotted the Green Ranger helmet on the floor nearby. I stared at my reflection within the black visor of the helmet. I was covered in blood and sweat. I stretched out my right arm towards the helmet, before I was thrown back into the ceiling again. I flew back into the window with a pained scream as I fell to the floor. The shifting stopped and I rolled onto my back with a groan. "We're alive?" I heard Jason ask. "Where are we?" I heard Billy say really nearby. I furrowed my eyebrows and opened my eyes. I looked to the left and saw five pairs of colorful boots within the control room of the Dragonzord. "Tommy?" I heard Trini ask. I pulled myself up using the control pedestal as leverage. I saw the five other Rangers standing within the Dragonzord. "Guys?" I questioned standing up. Kim ran to me and threw her arms around me. "What are you guys doing in here? Why aren't you in your Zords?" I asked. "I don't know. One minute, I was in my Saber-Toothed Tiger being thrown back and forth. Then I was pulled into your Zord. "Why my Zord?" I asked looking at the others confused. I limped to the window of the Dragonzord to see an arm again. "Weird...the arms...they're back." I said. "What do you mean they're back? They disappeared?" Jason asked. "Kinda. I guess. They went into the body of the Zord. Now they're--wait...these aren't my Zord's arms." I stated looking out one side of the window to the next. "These are black. Zack, I think those are your Zord." I said. "What?" Zack said looking out the window at the transformed Mastodon Zord. "Cool!" He exclaimed. "Trini. Billy." I think you guys are the legs." I said. "That just leaves Jason, me, and Kim. Kim...I don't see your Zord anywhere." I said looking around. "Worry about it later." She said. "Right. Let's end this." I said as the newly modified Dragonzord rose from the crater. "Does this still qualify as your Dragonzord?" Jason asked as the giant Zord climbed out of the crater and stood up. "This is cool! It's like, one big Zord. Like a...a mama Zord." Billy said. "Nope, that sounds lame. A...uh...a Megazord! Yeah!" Billy said. "A Mega Dragonzord." Kim said looking over at me with a smile. I smirked. She put her helmet back on looking back out the window. "Tommy. I think you might need this." Trini said handing me the Green Ranger Helmet. I held it in my hands and looked down at the green helmet. I put it on and smiled. "What's the plan, Red?" I asked looking over at Jason. "It's your Zord, Tommy." Jason said. "True as that may be. It's not my team." I said with a shrug as Goldar looked at us. Jason nodded. "The bigger they are. The harder they fall." Jason said. "We can do this. Let's go." Jason said. The Megazord moved forward and fell to the ground. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!" I exclaimed as the rest of us screamed. "Whoa, whoa, no, no, no, no!" I yelled as the Zord caught itself...barely. "That might have been my fault. I'm sorry, ya'll." Billy said. "We all have to move together." Jason said. "I'll lift us." Kimberly said. "All together. On three! One, two, three!" Jason yelled as my grip on the Dragon Dagger tightened. "We got this! Come on!" Kimberly cheered. The Megazord ran at Goldar, who ran at us. "I'm getting epic Godzilla-vibes right now." I said as Goldar pushed us. "Billy! Catch us!" I said. I slammed a button down on the console and the Megazord's right arm slammed into Goldar's face. "Good! Let's go again." Jason said before Goldar slammed a punch into us. "Should've seen that coming." I spat as I picked myself up off the floor. "Kimberly! Throw a hook! Now!" Jason ordered. Kimberly pressed a button and the left arm of the Zord flew into Goldar. Goldar immediately threw a left punch at us and right punch into our torso. "Oh, I wish I could punch." Billy said. The Zord lifted the left leg up and spartan-kicked Goldar in the chest. I laughed. "Nice one, Billy!" Jason yelled. Goldar made a sword. "Tommy, We got anything for that?" Everyone asked looking at me. "Remember the pit?" I asked looking at them. "Yeah." They said with a nod. "Hey, I hate the pit!" Billy said. I slammed the Dragon Dagger into the key slot. "The only thing I actually liked about training." I said as four cables attached to my limbs. The others watched me. "What are those?" Trini asked. "You'll see." I said. "Ready?" Jason asked me. "Ready." I stated frozen. Goldar ran at us. I smirked. "Slip!" We yelled. I made a dodging motion and the Zord mirrored me. "Grab!" We yelled again. I grabbed Goldar. "Lift!" I yelled as I slammed Goldar over the Zord into the ground behind us. "Zack, Kim, pull back on the arms. We have a sword." I said. A long green and grey sword with a pink handle appeared in the right hand. I looked at Jason and he looked at me. "Care to do the honors, Red Ranger?" I asked. "It'd be my pleasure, Tommy." Jason said as the cables transferred to him. He slammed the sword down onto Goldar with a scream. Goldar fell back with a roar.

"Wait!" Rita yelled as she exited Goldar. "Guys." Jason said. "Look at me." Rita said. I glanced over at Kimberly. "You think you've won? I came for the crystal. Others will come! What you have, it can't last. You know I'm right!" Rita said. "You're wrong." I said. The others looked at me. "I don't know. But for now, I need you to give your staff and your coin to us. And we'll take you to Zordon and let him be the judge." I said. "Zordon? Judge me? Never! No matter what Zordon says, I know I am worthy!" Rita yelled. She jumped into the air with her staff raised above her head towards us. "Damn. That woman can jump." Billy said. "Jason! Now!" I yelled. He swung his right arm outward and smacked Rita away. She soared helplessly into the sky. My eyes widened as I stared in the sky. "Jason, did you just slap her?" Billy asked. "I did. Weird, right?" Jason said breaking into laughter. "That's cool. I guess the bully...you guys don't get...It's the...I got it, buddy." Billy said. I shook my head smiling behind the helmet. "Oh, that was scary." Billy added as the cables detached from Jason. "We did it." Kim said. I looked over at Kimberly and smiled. "I told you we'd be famous." I heard Zack say. I looked out the window to see a crowd gathering around the Megazord. "Is that Principal Feig?" Billy asked waving. "Hey. No, I don't think he can see me." Billy said. I looked at the crowd and spotted my dad standing next to the woman in pink. They looked at each other and smiled before pulling phones out and taking pictures of the Megazord.

 "Hey, that woman does kinda look like Kim." Trini said. "Right?! That's what I said!" I exclaimed with wide eyes waving in my arms into the air looking over at her. "Kimberly doesn't seem to think so." I said jerking a thumb over towards Kim. "Oh, let's wiggle, Jason. Tommy." Billy said dancing. Billy pushed a button and made the Zord do dance moves. "I call this the Algebra. Woo!" Billy said. "How do you even do that?!" Kim asked as the Megazord continued to dance.
