Chapter 9 Third Child And First Son Is Born

Jackie's POV: everything has been going great Claire was now four years old and Chloe is seven years old I had found out that I was pregnant again and we were all excited even Chloe and Claire were excited about having a new sibling I was hoping for a baby boy as well as Chavez Chavez and I were sitting at the table Chavez was reading the independent our local newspaper while I was making breakfast Chloe and Claire were being typical little kids running around making all sorts of chaos as usual

How are you feeling Jackie? Chavez asked

I'm doing alright the baby just kicked me just now I said smiling at him lovingly

As Chavez and I were talking about the soon to be new baby our little daughters ran in of course Claire being the youngest one runs towards Chavez she's daddy's little girl he lifted her gently onto his lap Chloe sat down with us at the table

Mom when's the new baby going to be born? Chloe asked

Soon honey very soon I answered

You guys are really looking forward to new baby aren't you Chavez said smiling softly at us

Yeah we are dad Chloe said trying to having a sense of humor

Chavez and I chuckled softly and Chavez kissed Claire softly on her cheek I always thought that he would make a terrific father of my children I was now 7 months pregnant and that's when I suddenly felt water on my ankle and that's when I realized that I was going into labor

Uh Chavez I think it's time the baby's coming I said in between bursts of pain

Chavez set Claire down and got up he told our daughters to help me upstairs while he went and got Mrs Lincoln once Mrs Lincoln arrived I told our daughters to go be by Chavez they sat outside of our bedroom while Mrs Lincoln helped me deliver our third child it took an hour before I finally heard crying I looked over and saw Mrs Lincoln washing our child she looked over at me as she washed our baby

What did I have this time? I asked preparing for her to say that we had another daughter

Congratulations you your husband and daughters have a baby boy now Mrs Lincoln said

I couldn't believe it we finally had a son Chavez is going to be happy about it he had always wanted a son after Mrs Lincoln washed all the amitotic fluid off of our newly born son then wrapped him in a warm Indian blanket that Chavez had gotten when we found out that I was pregnant with our now newborn son after she wrapped him in the blanket she walked over towards me and handed him to me after she handed him to me Chavez and the girls came into the bedroom I looked up at Chavez who figured that we had a daughter so I smiled softly at him

Let me guess we have another daughter Chavez said

Not this time I replied

You mean we have a..... Chavez began

Yep we have a son now and you're in charge of naming him I said

Chavez's POV:
I couldn't believe what I just heard I had a son and I was stoke I knew the perfect name for our son Christopher Jose Chavez was going to be his name

I know the perfect name for our son I said

What is it Chavez Jackie asked curiously

Christopher Jose Chavez I said

That's a perfect name for him Jackie replied

We all payed our attention to Christopher we were going to call him either Chris or C.J. Whichever one I couldn't believe it that I finally had a son he reminded me of when I was a baby he looked a lot like me actually darker skinned he even had hair and it was black just mine he was adorable and I couldn't be more proud of him

Do you want to hold him? Jackie asked

Yeah I answered

So Jackie handed him to me he was wrapped up in an Indian blanket he made all the sounds that newly born babies make he also has my eye color I sat down in a rocking chair with my son in my arms I was so involved with my son that I blocked everything out of my mind

Chavez you listening? I heard Jackie Asked

Huh what? I asked

You didn't hear me did you I said are you happy now that you have a son Jackie said

Yes I'm happy that I have a son it's about time I had a son I said

Jackie smiled and chuckled softly I put the girls and Chris to bed after that I got into bed and curled up next to Jackie

Now I want you to rest no ifs ands or buts I said

But Chavez who's going to take care of the kids especially since we just had a baby Jackie asked

Don't worry about that I'll take care of the kids especially our new born son I'm going take a couple of days off of work I said

Chavez we can't afford that besides I can take care of the kids Jackie said

No absolutely not you're going to rest you just had our son I don't want you to be under a lot stress please I just want you to be okay I said

Oh alright I'll rest for a while thank you Chavez I couldn't ask for a better a better husband Jackie said looking at me then we kissed then we went to bed
