Stiles sat down with Derek fiddling with his cup of coffee he was handed "you alright?" Derek asks softly, Stiles only nodded offering a small smile

"I'm ok, Just a little worried with the killings and my dad searching for the killer, I don't want a phone call saying my only family member that I know of it dead" He looked down at the table a sad look in his eyes as he lifted the coffee and took a sip

"we'll stop them Stiles" Derek said as he watched the scared teen infront of him

"Derek Pizza's here!" Isaac called from the other room "he want's paying!" he called again after not hearing any movement

Derek frowned and got up and walked to the door of the loft paying for the large stack of pizza before sliding it shut again, he took one box from the stack that was waiting for him to take his share, well at least his pack was, Stiles 3 however had already claimed one box and devouring it between them.  he walked back into the kitchen where Stiles now had his head resting on the table, he put the box down infront of Stiles taking a slice for himself, Stiles lifted his head taking a slice from the box "thank you" he mumbled

after eating and Stiles some how falling into an argument about batman and superman with his and Dereks pack members Derek had excused himself from the conversation when Erica said he'd make one super hot superman only to be countered by Stiles said he was more of a wolverine with a smirk

Derek was reading a book in his room when his phone wrang, he put the book down tensing up seeing mom as the caller ID, Derek hovered his finger over decline before he chose the other option and answered "Hello mom" he said stiffly

"Derek, how are you doing" she replied, she sounded calm but he could hear the urgency in her voice

"I'm fine, but by the sounds of it you are not, do you need help" He sat up

"Derek it's nothing I was just checking in on my son" Derek frowned

"I may be an Alpha but you are still my mother and I'll do what I can to help if you need it" he said cutting her off as she tried to reassure everything was fine

Derek heard Talia let out a sigh "fine, the truth is Peter dissapeared a few months back, we have been trying to find him and it seems he may have headed towards you location"

"Peter as in uncle Peter as in you practically rouge brother" Derek felt a chilling shiver down his spine at the mention of Peter

"yes Derek, we where just wondering if you have seen him" the line fell silent for a while, the only way she knew Derek was there was the sound of his breathing "Derek?"

"no..... I have been busy trying to track a rogue alpha thats going around killing people in my town for the last two weeks" Dereks head shot up to the sound of his door opening "What's wrong"

Stiles shuffled on his feet he was still a little nervous around Derek "It's just.... it's late so I wanted to say by"

"Derek!" the speaker of the phone made, Derek looked at his phone then at Stiles "Derek I'm talking to you, this is important and who is that!"

Derek sighed "mom give me a minute" he put his phone on the desk and walked over to Stiles "you're going home" Stiles nodded and Derek gestured for him to lead the way, he followed Stiles down the stairs and showed them out in the most polite way Derek could handle "text me when your home" he muttered to Stiles who only nodded then waved goodbye to Derek and his pack, the rest of his pack giving him a strange look as he watched them leave "I have a call" he said "go home or whatever just don'tlisten or you'll be in trouble"

the pack didn't say anything as Derek madr his way back upstairs, instead the used his card to order Pizza and voted for a movie note that Erica gladly enjoyed choosing

Derek sat back on his bed grabbing his phone up and irritated chatter going on the other side in the distance "mom?"

"Derek! you said there is a rogue Alpha in your town?" she questioned immediately

Derek groaned "yes and he's being going around killing people, humans and last night a young hunter, the boy was only 22"

"Derek... it might be Peter" that cold shiver hit his spine again "I'll come over with my pack, we need to stop him"

"I can handle it" he tried to say, he flinched at how uncertain his voice sounded

"Derek, we can handle it together, I wont interfere with you pack, but I will ask one thing" She said he voice was calm

"what's that" he frowned he knows what shes going to ask and he had no intention of telling her

"who did you talk to earlier, have you got a new pack member I did not recognise his voice, much less you even put the phone down when he came in, have you found...." she was talking when there was a noise from Dereks side

Derek made some sort of panicked noise when he shook his head "no just a friend, and no no no before you even ask that final bit No, his name is Stiles and he's a friend, if I got a new pack member Argent made it clear today that he'd lesson the numbers if it got any bigger"

Derek heard a low growl "he lays a finger on my boy and his pack"

"mom it's fine I don't have intention of getting any more members anyways, erica, Jackson, Isaac and Boyd are more then enough" he said in attempt to valm her down

"ok baby, I'll be over in a few days, sorry to intrude but I should deal with my brother before he causes more trouble for you and your pack and your friend" he could practically hear the smirk in her voice and he let out a soft groan "bye Derek" with that she cut the call

Derek looked at his phone and the text he got from Stiles home safe, thank you for inviting us, and don't worry I didn't hear you conversation with the woman on the phone only hear call your name.... anyways if I don't stop I'll ramble all night, good night Derek

he smiled at the text and sent a quick reply good night Stiles, he listened to try and see if his pack had left and to no surprise they hadn't he could hear the faint noise of the tv and small chatter, he lay his phone down and went to sleep
