Derek slid his hands gently along Stiles cheek pulling the boys face to face him "Meiczy" Derek tried earning another groan from the boy "Stiles" Derek huffed out, Stiles face contorted into a pout before he opened his eyes a soft glare as he looked up at Derek, it was then both of their eyes shined green and they smiled at each other "hello there"

"Hello" Stiles said back snuggling into Derek "that hurt" he mumbled and Derek nodded in agreement

"What did you actually do" Scott asked tilting his head at the still glowing green eyes as the two stared at each other

"I unlocked their mate bond" Natalie explained waving her hand to the two young Alpha's

"Mate bond?" They both asked breaking eye contact and looking at Natalie then to Talia "what do you mean by unlocking it?" Derek added

Talia let out a soft sigh "me and Claudia locked up the mate bond between you both, it was a risk we had to take to keep both of you alive"

Stiles shook his head in confusion "I don't understand"

Derek frowned "I remember you saying something like that when I was almost 12"

Talia nodded "you wouldn't remember Stiles, you was five when we had to separate you both, we knew you probably wouldn't remember being so young but we decided it was safe for then, 3 years later we ran into a bit of trouble with some hunters"

"The Calavera group" Chris continued decided to join in on the conversation "they have a twisted way on studying werewolves, after finding out Talia being a she wolf and her son finding their mate they used a child a human girl to get information from Derek, they wanted them both to see what they could do with the mates, some people hunt them for their power expecially the supernatural, hunters fear them for their abilities to withstand any type of wolfsbane or any danger we can cause to normal wolves, specially if they are together, they can be the most powerful supernatural beings alive, meaning if they where rogue things would be a bloodbath" Chris explained

"The more dominant mate would also have more control" Deaton began speaking "so even if the other mate is submissive and calm as ever, the dominant one could turn the other into being a rogue and kill by will, the dominant is also usually the Alpha, it's different with the both of you because both of you are Alpha's, which would make you the most powerful pair of supernatural creatures around"

Noah groaned and seemed to run his hand down his face listening in to, it seemed he didn't actually know as much as the other given he didn't, he raised a werewolf child with a yearly visit from his wife once or twice a year,  he didn't do research he just loved his wife and son "I raised a powerful idiot?" He slowly said more to himself then anyone else

Stiles jaw dropped open "I'm not an idiot" Stiles piped up staring over the back of the couch at his dad, his dad raised an eyebrow "ok so I may have done some stupid things in my life but I was a child and I was curious"

"You are always curious" Noah pointed out

Stiles just grinned at his dad "as we where saying" Natalie butted in "they where getting a lot of information from Derek about Stiles before we found out what was going on, Derek even gave her your name but when we realised what was happening Peter had one of his little Alpha friends bite the young girl, Derek found her, she was like a best friend to him because he didn't know why she got so close, that it was just to get information about Stiles" Stiles looked at Derek, his eyes where glassed over as he remembered "Derek took her somewhere and hid with her, her body didn't take the bite and so to stop the pain Derek took her life, he was just a child they both where"

"A few weeks later Ducaleon learnt about the mates and decided he wanted that power, he wanted Derek and Stiles, to get the mates power to kill them" Talia continued again "I wouldn't let him get to Derek, we where fighting, and I was fighting two of the Beta's he had going after me, I had my back turned when he Decided I was a good target to go after, but he was Stopped" Stiles wiped at Derek's eyes and Talia sighed "Derek had showed up and attacked Ducaleon away from me, my 12 year old son was attacking an Alpha, I was terrified everyone else seemed to have froze as we watched them both fighting, Derek one of protection and Ducaleon fighting for the power he craved so desperately" Derek wrapped his arms around Stiles pulling the smaller male onto his lap, Stiles just laced his fingers through Derek's hair "when it was finally over, they had stopped fightig, I thought I lost my son, that was until he pushed Ducaleon off and ran over to me crying, he asked me why bad things keep coming so I told him that the little boy he knows is his mate, that he needs to keep him safe, when Derek said he wanted to keep Meiczy safe, that he would do anything even forget him if he had to" Talia clenched her jaw

"She spoke to Claudia about it, and they came to me, despite Talia not trusting me they asked for my help, I owed Claudia a favour and this was something I could do, lock away the mate bond and the memories of each other, the memories of each other would return but given Stiles being so young it wasn't likely he would remember anyways and they would come the day you both turned 18 at least, so until last night at midnight, the mate bond however I locked away a different way, this way if you both where not together yet I could try and hold off unlocking it until then, Claudia told me how she planned on keeping her son safe with her husband, her human husband that the pack knew nothing about other then the small child she introduced them to as their Heir"

"Claudia has always been a close friend of mine, and I knew I was born in a hunters family but I knew Claudia and what she was from the day I met her, I saved her we had been friends since we where children and the code said no harm to come to a child so it didn't bother me in being friends with her, we where close when she asked me to protect her kid and Derek" Talia eyed Chris  for a moment, she knew despite his threats he's never actually harmed Derek "she told me about them being mates and I researched it, I admit I was unsure about not telling anyone but she was my best friend, and when my wife tried to kill her after finding out Claudia was a wolf, I made my choice then, that the people I protect was her and the two boys that needed it, I ended up giving a tip to Talia's pack the night Kate decided she was going to try and kill them all, then my father tried taking my daughter Alison from me and so I took her and left, I taught her about the supernatural and I told her the Story of her mother, she was understanding to it, she said we should protect those who can't protect themselves and that is what I have gone by since and began looking for Claudia again, only to find out she was dead but found her son and Derek instead, I think that practically sums up everything"

"Sums up?" Erica said with a huff "That's practically a whole damn story you have there just with less detail on the surroundings"

The Beta's started to yawn and Stiles looked around at them then at Derek "I'm hungry"  Stiles suddenly said making Derek laugh, just then the door went and Noah answered it, he brought in a stack of pizzas and placed them on the table "oh, ohh when did you order these" Stiles said with a grin grabbing a box

"About twenty minutes ago" Noah said helping himself before glaring at Stiles who told him only two

Derek got up and walked out before walking back in with a candle, he stuck it in one of the pizza's and lit it before starting off one singing happy birthday, the long winded explanation forgotten for now as they decide to start to celebrate Stiles birthday, Stiles grinned up at Derek before blowing the candle out, He closed his eyes to make a wish soon feeling a pair of lips on his knocking him from his thoughts as Derek kissed him
