Zelda POV:
It had been a couple months after that day. Linkle told us about her parents and we got it all worked out by having Minda's family practically drag Linkle in their home. Link and I had gotten closer but just as friends. We're friends right? Just friends? Why am I asking that, of course we're friends! But I feel sad when I say just friends. Why...? I felt a hand on top of my head. I looked up to see Link smiling. I guessed I was lost in my thoughts but I couldn't help but smile back. Lana giggled, "You okay there Zel? You've been spacing out lately." Minda poked at my arm, "Perhaps a crush...?" Linkle laughed, "Better not. Cant have them taking her away like that. We need attention too!" Link laughed, "Yeah. We need some time with delicious food." Luna's expression changed from happy to worried. She recounted our heads, something she always did, but this time out loud. "Speaking of time, where is Amara?" Linkle counted our heads, "Yeah, she's never late." Minda shrugged, "Maybe she's sick?" I frowned, "Wouldnt she let us know? I'll text her." I opened my phone and pulled up her contact.
Texting:

Amara, are you sick? You arent at School and everyone is worried.
яєѧԀ 9:45

End of Texting:
I frowned. Link looked over my shoulder. I looked up at Lana. Link spoke softly, "Read 9:45..." It was Minda's turn to frown. Lana covered her mouth, "She never just reads it. I hope she is okay!" Linkle slowly nodded. Link smiled slightly, "Amara might just be half asleep! She'll text back!"
The rest of the day was the worst. I wasnt focused on the lessons nor at lunch. The worst part of all, I never got a message back..
By the end of the day, Lana had to go home at lunch after throwing up from worrying. Minda and Linkle were called to the office and had to take Lana home. The weird part was that Groose and his friends were all tardy. Not that I care, but still weird. Link waved at me as I exited my class. I tried to smile but couldn't. I was worrying to much. Link smiled softly as he took my hand. I'm guessing he knew what I was thinking about. I had agreed to help Aryll again today so we walked home together. It was a silent trip but the silence was comfortable. We opened the door to see Aryll watching the news. Link frowned, "Aryll, Ma said no TV this week." She pointed at the TV, "Isn't that your friend?" I looked at the TV only to run to the bathroom. I locked the door and threw up. I couldn't breath. It was like when you go underwater but you hold your breath for too long. Or when you sallow the pool water and it goes down your throat. Link knocked on the door, "Z-Z-Zel-l..." It sounded like he couldn't breath as well. I closed my eyes but shot them open before unlocking the door. Aryll came running in crying while Link looked pale. His face looked pained, but shocked at the same time. Aryll wrapped her arms around me as I looked up at Link. That was the last thing I could remember.
I woke up in a cold sweat. I looked around sighing. Just a dream. Calm down Zelda. I got up and went to school. I was crested by Lana. Amara was standing next to her smiling. I was so happy to see her, it was insane. Linkle and Minda were walking into the building. I jumped hearing a scream. Lana and Amara had already started walking. Amara looked at me concerned, "Zel? You coming?" I nodded confused on how they didn't hear the scream. "You go on ahead!" The two nodded and walked in. I jumped off the stairs and ran to the back of the school building. Groose again. Wait, why is Link here!? Link looked pissed but kept silent. Blood dripped down his mouth as if he was punched over and over. Groose growled, "Didnt I tell you before punk?" One of his friends pointed at Link, "Groose said if you get all mushy mushy with that blonde and he'll make your life a living hell!" The other friend crossed his arms and leaned toward Link, "Now if you don't want Groose to hurt ya no more-" Groose shove the boy back. "Drop the act. Why ain't you saying anything punk? You always are sooooo talkative with the blonde. Are we that different?" Link looked up cat Groose, "Just get the "living hell" part done. I'm late to meet my friends and I don't need them to worry. I don't need your speech, and so what that I hang out with Zelda? She is funny, hell, you could say I like her. I'm not going to just drop her over some blood." Groose growled and rammed his elbow into Link's stomach. I tightened my fist. I couldn't stand to see this anymore. I felt my arms getting pulled. I turned to see the two friends holding me up.

Link POV:
Shit. I heard a shriek next to me. I looked there to see Zelda. It hurt seeing her kick and try to How long was she there? God damn it. Groose laughed, "Look like we have company.." He rammed his fist into my stomach. I grunted, holding down my voice. I didn't want to get more attention by screaming, even though I really wanted to. I could tell my vision was getting blurry. I used the last of my strength to doge one of Groose's punches. I stood up and brushed myself off. I felt myself punching the two jerks holding Zelda. I didn't know I could fight back. I softly smiled at Zelda, "You should get out of here before you get hurt.." Zelda looked terrified. She slowly nodded, "Just please be safe.." I nodded and watched her run back. I was glad she was safe. But I hate to say that the last thing I remember was her running.

Amara POV:

Zelda soon joined me and Lana. She looked distraught but I didn't feel like it was my place to ask what was wrong. Class went smoothly before a middle school girl ran into the room. Her blonde hair was pulled into two low pig tails which went well with her school uniform. Zelda practically jumped out of her seat, "Aryll? What are you doing here!? You should be in school!" The girl looked up at Zelda, "I was going to school when the office called. Zelda....Link is in the hospital...." I could see the color drain from Zelda's face. My group all ran out of the room with the blonde girl. I was left alone.

As I walked home from school, I texted Zelda what happened. I was glad to hear that Link was okay but still sort of upset they left me. I knew I could've joined them but thought it better to leave them be. He had a few cracked ribs and a concussion, so I couldn't help with anything. I hummed to myself, closing my phone, and kept walking to my house. I felt a hand get placed over my mouth. I tried to scream but the person behind me grabbed my waist as it spoke, "Might not want to do that bitch." I closed my teary eyes, not wanting to see what he would do to me.

Zelda POV:
Link was in a stable condition. We had been told he had a few cracked ribs and a concussion from a blow to the head. Why did I leave? I should've stayed. It's my fault. Aryll hasn't stopped crying. Lana was trying to soothe her but it wasn't really working. Midna walked out of the room. She nodded. I guess it was my turn to see him. Linkle gave me a thumbs up but I couldn't smile back. Link hadn't woken up, making the Doctors think he was in a coma. It's my fault. I walked in and shut the door behind me. I sat down next to Link only to start crying myself. I laid my head next to his arm sobbing. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. It's my fault. I should've stayed. I'm so stupid!" I sobbed, my whole body shaking. "I can't do this anymore. Please wake up. I'm sorry for everything. Please come home. It's all my fault I know! Why must Hylia curse me with having watch the people I love most die. Please don't go away like mother. I need you to stay. I know it's my fault, just please..." I knew my crying wasn't going to help but what else was I to do? I couldn't do anything other then sob next to the person I care about who is in a coma because I was so stupid to leave. It's my fault.
