E- no one can replace mom
M- I know
Me and Morgan chill out for a bit till we here the door open downstairs. We both jump up and Morgan leads us downstairs. Morgan stops at the bottom steps and I stop one above here. I place my hands on her shoulders when we see my dad standing at the door with a women.
E- dad?
D- oh hey guys
M- who is that
D- oh sorry this is Kate
M- why is she here
I cover Morgan's mouth with my hand.
D- well I just asked her to be my girlfriend. We've been seeing each other for 4 months and I decided to ask her tonight
E- that's where you've been going when you say you stuck at the office all night.
D- rik-
E- no don't say that
D- Erika I thought you said it was fine
E- yeah but I really wasn't expecting you to do it. I was just being nice
Now Morgan reaches up and covers my mouth. I move her hand away and take mine away
E- let's go upstairs Morgan
I go upstairs and Morgan comes into my room
E- I really didn't think that was gonna happen
M- me either
We talk for a bit till Morgan goes back to her room. I get ready for bed and my door opens.
D- Erika can we talk
I ignore him and he leans in the doorway
D- I thought I was okay
E- I was being nice
D- I just want to be happy and for you guys. It would be good to have a mother figure in the house again
He talks to me some more and then leaves. I lay in bed and ignore the FaceTimes and texts from jake. I lay there staring at the ceiling till I fall asleep. I wake up to my alarm going off and I roll out of bed. I get changed into jeans and a black long sleeve with some white nike air forces on. I grab my bag and go into Morgan's room
E- you ready
M- yeah here take my bag I need to grab something
I take her bag and go downstairs to see my dad making breakfast, of course. He just feels bad.
D- I made breakfast
E- we are late
D- you still have more than an hour
E- I Know
D- Erika you can't be like this
I go outside and put our bags in the back and wait for Morgan in the car. She comes running out And into the car
M- okay let's go
We get to school and we grab our bags and walk to the school slowly because we got lots of time. We get inside and I bring Morgan to her locker as we talk.
E- I'll see you later loser
M- bye
I walk back to my locker and open it up shoving my things in there. The school starts to fill up with students and teachers. I look up and see everyone part ways and I know Jake is here. I take my books out of my bag and put them on the shelf. I feel arms around me
J- hey rik
E- *sighs* hey
He turns me around
J- what's wrong
E- nothing
J- I don't believe that you just "*sighs* hey"
E- it's not a big deal
Jakes POV
I push here locker closed and lock it. I grab her and bring her outside. I take my jacket off and give it to her. We hold hands and walk around the school. After one lap I ask her
J- rik what's really going on
E- my dad he got a girlfriend
J- I thought you were okay with that
E- I just said it to be nice. When you came the other day to get me he was at her house and all the other times he said he was at the office he was with her for the past four months
J- what's her name
E- Kate
J- maybe it'll be nice to have another women around
E- it won't me and Morgan are just fine
J- hey that was like us. One month sneaking around and you saying that you were sleeping at the girls house but you were at mine and then I asked you
E- no it's different
J- how
E- no one can replace my mom
J- rik, you know no one will she's always gonna be your mom no matter what I promise that. She is just there to make your dad happy again. Who knows you may like her
E- probably not
J- rik you gotta give people a chance
E- I did once and never happing again

J- *chuckles* that is true but at least try to be somewhat happy

I stop us and pull her in for a hug.
J- if she's ever there and your that uncomfortable I can come and get you
E-...
J- okay?
E- *sighs* yeah
I lift her head up and kiss her and bring her back into my chest.
J- now let's go inside so you can learn and be the smart one
I feel her smile in my chest and we walk back inside. We go to her locker and she give me my jacket. She grabs her book and I take them from her.
C- Ayo Jake help!
I look behind me and see Chance with blood coming from his nose. I give erika her books and I turn around to go but she grabs my wrist
E- jake dont
J- rik I won't do anything I swear
She pulls her hand away and I jog to chance. He leads us to the change room and I swing the door open to see them around tony
An- guys I'm not here for trouble
M- shut it
J- guys!
M- Jake what a surprise
J- tony let's go
Tony runs past them.
J- just stay away from us and we will all be fine
We slowly walk out and I turn to chanthony
J- what the hell
An- dude swear on god we did nothing we went in there to juul
J- how did you get your nose like that
C- he cane in and slapped me for trying to get away from them
J- guys please stay away from them
They both nod and the bell goes. I see Patrick in the hall
J- Patrick
He looks at me and I grab his shirt and pull him into the bathroom. Chanthony stand outside watching out
