The Most Beautiful Day of Our Lives
Part 6

"We should go too," Hoseok said.

I looked at the mess we'd  left behind at the lodging. Chairs, pots and dishes were all over the place.

"Come on Jimin."

I closed the door hurriedly. Everyone was way ahead of me. Yoongi and Hoseok took the lead with Jungkook following closely behind them. We'd come here as seven and only four were left.

I looked up as we passed the observatory. There was no light on the beach after sundown. The observatory and the ocean withdrew into the darkness, and were practically invisible now. I could still hear the waves without seeing the ocean.

I realized that this was the place we'd visited when we'd first came down to the beach. I remembered that day, that rock we'd hoped to find, the hopes and dreams we'd shared to the wind and the ocean once we'd shouted them out.

"Jungkook, wasn't it somewhere out here?" I looked back, but Jungkook was already bolting ahead of us.

Hoseok called out to him, but I guess he couldn't hear a thing.
Jungkook was also going down his own road in life.

He had tagged along and stopped when the others stopped. I was the same.

I looked in every direction at the intersection. I had to turn left to get to the train station or take a right to take a bus home.

I had to go back home someday. I couldn't run away forever. I had to tell my family the truth. Even if they didn't want to hear me out. I had to start fastening the first button at some point.

Yoongi started going left at the intersection.

"Hurry up Jimin." Hoseok waited for me.

"Hoseok, I'm going home now."

"Home?" He asked, a puzzled look on his face.

I nodded and started walking down the right intersection.
