"Why didn't you tell me?" Luke asked, looking offended. I don't blame him for being offended. It was stupid of me.

"I was scared." I answered, looking down at the ground, kicking it lightly.

"Of?" He asked. I sighed.

"I was scared that once you met me, you wouldn't want to be friends with me because you would realize that Internet Ashton is better than Real Life Ashton." I answered, keeping my eyes glued to the floor. I normally have no one to talk to, so when I do talk to people, I'm quite awkward.

"I would never." He said, pulling me into a hug. I was glad that my mum chose to go to another store while Luke and I shopped here. He gasped, suddenly pulling out of the hug.

"What's wrong?" I asked, but he ignored my question, grabbing one of my arms and holding it in his hand. He rolled up the sleeve, looking down at the scars and cuts. Most were pink, but there were a few red ones. I hadn't cut as much since Luke started messaging me. I looked down at the floor, ashamed of myself. But he did something unexpected.

He brought my wrist up to his face and planted his lips on one of the scars. He lifted his head, but ended up just leaning it against my forehead as we were standing so close. 

"You're strong, Ash. Don't give up." He whispered, closing his eyes. I closed mine, too, and let out a shaky breath. He leaned forward to where our lips were almost touching. 

"How would you like to have your first kiss?" Luke asked. I just nodded in response. He must've remembered me telling him that I've never kissed anyone. 

He attached our lips into a kiss.
