"So you and Jungkook? You guys a thing" ? Jaebum asked jin the evening before the engagement  while they were decorating the seats
"What ? No ! What made you think that ! And besides Jungkook wouldn't even date someone like me" jin said the last part in a sad way
"What do you mean he wouldn't date a guy like you ? Confident smart hardworking and world wide handsome ?"  Jin just stared at Jaebum
"Look jin I am not very good in keeping my feeling to myself so don't mind if it seems too direct and quick but I want to take you to dinner"
"What ! Jin almost screamed that part but decided to play it cool !
"Uh I don't know what to say I mean it's pretty quick don't you think ?"
"It's just a dinner jin we will get to know each other too ? Just say yes please  jaebum said with a puppy eyes"
And that's how he got himself a date on the previous day of the event which taehyung and joon thought was a great idea to relax and take mind of things , taehyung and namjoon left for checking the preparations leaving Jin to get ready for the evening when suddently Jin heard a knock on the door , Jin was more than shocked to see
"Jungkook ? What are you doing here ?"
"Bored! and I wanted to check on you, how you feeling now ?"
"Great not skipping any food"
"Good !"
It seemed jungkkok hadn't noticed that Jin wa s fully dressed to go out then it clicked
"Are you going somewhere? Jungkook suddently asked realising the situation
"Oh actually yes dinner"
"With the boys ?"
"Uh no with jaebum"
"Oh ! I didn't know you were that close !" Jungkook said with a smile
"Alright then I will leave ! Have fun !"
"You can stay he will be late it seems he texted just now"
"You sure.?"
"Yeah yeah"
It was getting awkward between them so Jungkook decided to roam around jins room he saw an album lying down on the floor "My small HAppiness "
"Hmm Jungkook was smiling at the title when Jin came with beer in his hand
"Jungkook where did you get that ?" Jin said placing the beer in the table his eyes wide
"Oh this ! It was lying on the floor !"
"What Kim taehyung! That kid I swear to god !"
"What is this ?"Jungkook said flipping the pages of the book
"Oh that's where I put my favourite memories from the events that we did so far ", That's when Jin realised something he had placed his
Fav pictures of  jungkook and him in it tooo
"Uh Jungkook there is nothing in it" jin said suddently snatching it from him
Jungkook was shocked !
"There must be something if you want to hide it from me " Jungkook said looking at jins wide eyes with a raised eyebrows
"Jin give it back !"
"No"
"Jin don't make me"
"No jin took a step back away form Jungkook
while  Jungkook took a step forward
"I swear there is nothing here jungkkok leave it alone " taking steps back as jungkook walked closer
Jin knew he was trapped when he felt the dresser hit his back
"Ha caught ya !" Jungkook said placing his hands on the either side of the dresser
"Are you giving it to me now ?"
"No way in hell jin" said and stood in his tip tops so Jungkook couldn't reach it
Jungkooks was practically on top of jin as he tried to get the book from Jin
Jin was the first to realise how close they were
jungkooks hand was on jins tiny hips and his lips was so close to jins he could smell the sweet smell of mint Jin couldn't think straight his heart was beating wildly and his breath was coming out ragged , he so wanted to close the minute gap between them and kiss the hell out of him Jungkook on the other appeared to be unbothered , Jin stopped moving altogether and their eyes met Jungkooks smug smile faded into something else as he maintained the eye contact with Jin And said "you have such beautiful eyes"
That minute Jin lost it
"Dont Jungkook !" Jin said seriously pushing Jungkook away
"What !"
"Jungkook don't say such things please , it's already hard enough"
"Jin what are you saying"
"You ve got to stop okey ! Jin snapped I don't get it you are not making it easy for me , you already have a boyfriend in the waiting or something like that I don't know but stop giving me hope okey ? You are confusing me Jin said moving away far from jungkook as possible
"What seriously Jin!! I don't know what you are taking about and you are kind of scaring me a little bit" Jungkook said jokingly trying to find some sense
"Did you have a fight with your jimin is that why you are pretending to care for me right that's probably why right ! Because why else"
"Pretending ! Jin Watch it you are crossing a line" Jungkook said clenching his fists tightly
"Well it maybe nothing to you Jungkook but for me it's something,  you caring for me , looking after me literally having my back for evrything and despite my records of being with the worse I guys I thought I would have a chance with you but I should have known I would fall for the ones that I can't have" jin said wiping the tears that is now falling freely
Jungkkok it seemed was frozen
"No no don't tell me ! Jin I had no clue"
"Yes jungkook I like you like really really like you but you won't ever like me back right Jungkook ? Because why would you date someone like me ? And it's fine it really is !"Jin said with a sad smile

"I gotta go jin said looking at his phone seeing" jaebums number, the book was lying on the floor long forgotten
Jungook couldn't believe what he just heard he flipped through the pages and finally saw the pictures they were all random candid pics of him and Jin probably taken by Taehyung or joon
"What's going on hyung ?" Was written in small cursive next to their pics
Jungkook couldn't say it either,  what was actually going on Jungkook ? He felt a familiar old feeling started to creep into him ..
