I was hypnotized by him. I was never the type of girl who flirts or exchange looks with strangers at pubs, but I've never seen someone so beautiful in my whole life. It's like he's been sculpted by angels or something cheesy like that. I've tried hard to find any flaws on that face, but it's like the guy is perfect.

At some point, he felt the intensity of my gaze and stared back at me with a smirk. I felt my face burning and tried to look away, but my eyes kept falling back on him. And now he's walking in my direction, the smirk still on his face, his eyes never leaving mine. I'm freaking out. Guys don't usually come talk to me, not when I'm alone and especially not when I'm with my friends. What I am going to do? He's very close now, God, please help me.

"Hey." That's all he says and it's enough to send chills down my body. I try to say something, but nothing comes out, I just keep opening and closing my mouth like a total loser. "I'm Sam." He breaks the silence once again.

"I'm... I-I'm sorry I was staring." I can taste the red as it takes over my face. My friends start laughing and I just want to dig a hole and go live in it for the rest of my pathetic existence. Sam gives a little giggle.

"No, that's alright." He says gently. "Let me buy you drink so I can explain what's wrong with my face." He jokes, giving me a very warm smile.

"Oh, nothing's wrong with your face honey. It is very right." My friend Georgia manages to embarrass me a bit more, but it's Sam's turn to blush.

Before anyone else get the chance to say anything stupid again, I just get up from my chair and start walking towards the bar with Sam following close behind.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but whatever we're having, you'll have to order." Sam admits as soon as we get there. He's wearing a very embarrassed smile. "I'm only 20."

"Well, that makes two of us then." We laugh together. "God, Sam, how I am supposed to talk to you without some liquid courage?"

"You're doing it right now, aren't you?" He puts his hand on top of mine and gives it a light squeeze before pulling away again. Every inch of my body feels the contact. "Why don't you tell me your name?" He asks after ordering two bottles of water.

"It's Y/N."

"Well, Y/N, what do you like to do besides staring at guys at pubs?"

Talking to Sam turns out to be extremely easy. I've always been afraid of talking to handsome guys as if I was inferior or not worthy of their attention. But Sam's goofiness makes me feel comfortable and even chatty, something I'm definitely not when it comes to strangers. With him, it's like talking with an old friend. But old friends usually don't get handsy in the middle of a conversation, or at least mine don't. My new friend Sam, however, apparently enjoys touching my thighs. And believe me, I'm definitely not complaining.

His hand is resting on my knee when he really looks at me for the first time. "You're very beautiful, you know that?" He scan my whole face before finding my eyes again. I feel like he's seeing my soul and that makes me kind of vulnerable.

"Thanks. I would say the same to you, but I'm guessing you already know that."

"Well, I'm feeling very confident about my looks today, thanks to you. The whole staring thing made me feel powerful." I can't help but giggle and look down to my lap. Sam's calloused fingers make their way to my chin, forcing me to look back at him.

"You've got me mesmerized," I say softly, surprised with my own boldness. He's looking intently at my lips and I feel like something is doing back flips inside my stomach.

"Mesmerized," he repeats. "That's exactly what I am right now." When our lips finally meet, I forget where I am. It's weird thinking I just met the guy, because he feel so much like home. It's quick, but full of meaning. "Do you wanna dance?" He's so close that his lips brushes on mine as the words are formed.

I'm unable to say anything coherent, so I just nod. Sam gets up from his stool and offers his hand, which I accept without much thinking. By the time we get to the dance floor, I'm sure dancing is the last thing we're doing. He gets one hand on my hip and the other on the back of my neck; both of mine rest on his shoulders. We just stare at each other for a moment before I take the initiative and lean for another kiss. This one is the real deal. He's pulling my hair as I dig my nails on his back above his shirt; our tongues keep bumping on one another. When I feel his fingers starting to make their way up inside my shirt, we know is time to head of.

When I wake up, Sam's left arm is holding me tight, our legs are intertwined and my head is resting on his chest. He is in a very deep sleep. I look up to see his peaceful face and he looks even better than the night before. As soon as he wakes up, I know I'll have to go home. He's on tour with his band and by tonight, he won't even be in town anymore. I don't know if I'll ever see him again, but I know it's stupid to be sad about losing something that's not mine; or someone I don't even know. So as I watch him sleep, I just thank the universe for the best one night stand of my life and enjoy the time we still have.
