harry's p.o.v.

He's just standing there.
Looking at us.
Then he speaks up, ' Hey guys, it's good to see you,' he says.
In a nice way. I didn't know he could be nice.
'We don't want you here death eater,' Ron says harshly. Hermoine slaps his leg and gives him a warning look.

I don't know what came over me but I felt bad for him.
He didn't want to become a death eater, his father forced him.
It wasn't his fault.
And now he is paying for his fathers mistakes. He looks so broken, so pale, so not malfoy.
I get up and walk to him.
'Malfoy you can sit in our cabin if you want,'  I offer.
'No, you don't have to be nice to me, I don't deserve it,' he says.
'Yes you do , come on," I jank his arm and walk to the cabin.

Ron and Hermoineq stand up and ron says, 'If he's going to sit here, we're gone.'
'Come on, Ron.' I say.
'Have fun with your new friend,'
He says coldly.
They walk out.
'I'm sorry,' Malfoy says.
'For what?' I ask.
'For helping Voldemort, for killing Dumbledore , for driving your friends away. I bring bad luck,' he says.

'No, you don't. First off, you didn't have a choice of joining, that was your father's choice and now you are paying the price. Second, you didn't kill Dumbledore and third , they are still mad about what happened 3 months ago and I can't blame them, but I can't blame you either.' I say.
He looks at me.
'People look at me like I'm my father,' he says sad.

'But you are not. You are not your father Malfoy, those people don't know you,' I say.
'And you do?' he says.
'I want to,' I say sticking out my hand.
'Friends?' I ask , he shakes my hand and say 'friends.' He laughs.
'Oh and call me Draco.' he says.
'Call me Harry.'
Maybe this year wasn't going to be so bad after all
