The boys and I were separated in a way. Jamie and I shared a room, and Lars Cliff and Kirk shared another room.
Jamie and I got separated from the others because we were the worst when it came to alcohol. The nurses didn't want us tainting the others. Them fuckers don't know us at all obviously. We only have today left. It's been three weeks and honestly weening myself off of alcohol was harder than I'd like to have admitted. But we obviously made huge progress otherwise they wouldn't have trusted us after only three weeks.
I was so proud of James though, but also worried. Alcohol helped him through everything. I wasn't sure how long he'd last without it. But I'd be here to help, every step of the way.
"I'm so glad we get out of here today. I feel so cooped up and trapped in here" James said and we all nodded in agreement.
We were allowed to see the boys during the day, just not the night. It was truly fucked.
"Guys, it's time to go" one of the nurses told us, we smiled and went to our rooms
James and I grabbed our belongings and headed into the front area to wait for the boys, who soon arrived.
We thanked the people to run this place and then we got the hell out of there.
"Yah. Let's never have to do that again" I suggested and the boys chuckled and nodded
Just then, as Lars went back inside to call a cab for us, we saw two teenagers skateboarding around and they had beers. I reached down and squeezed James hand. He looked down at me worriedly
"It'll be okay Nic. Don't worry," he said and kissed my forehead
The cab showed up soon enough but the driver seemed wary about letting us in, but did anyways. What an ass. We always got looks like this and to be honest it pissed me off. James more so.

Back at the house, we were all happy. It felt so good to be home and free. It almost felt as good as getting out of jail and getting to come home, almost.
"So. I have some ideas for a few songs, wanna go practice?" James asked and the boys all grinned at him and we ran to the basement, all settling down in the familiar chairs we've grown to miss
James started playing a beautiful riff, leaving us all gobsmacked and staring at him in awe
"That one has been stuck in my head for weeks. Lars let's get some lyrics goin'" James said to Lars as I turned to Cliff
"Check this out Nic" he said and started playing what appeared to match the riff James had been playing, and it was also beautiful
"James check this out man," I called out to him and he turned around from the paper he was writing on with Lars and stared at Cliff, before a smile spread across his face, "Write that down man, I want it to be with the riff I played," he said and smiled at me before turning back around to finish whatever lyrics he was writing
"Okay I think I have something to add James" Lars said and walked over to his drums before playing an awesome drum beat that fit perfectly with the song
We all looked at Kirk as he began to add in a solo for the song
"Guys. This is incredible. Got a title yet?" I asked and James and Lars nodded excitedly
"Here. Okay everyone play at the same time right, and I'll start singing when it comes to it," James said as he grabbed his guitar and stood in front of the mic, handing me the sheet of paper with lyrics on it
"Here Nic, hold this for me so I can see alright?" James said and I happily complied
They played for a little bit before James began singing, and my god it was a beautiful sound
Lashing out the action, returning the reaction

When it was finished I sat down in my chair, completely and utterly mesmerized
"How is it that you guys just keep getting better and better? I I don't understand how it's even possible" I mumbled on and James smiled and walked over, pressing a kiss to my forehead and thanking me.
"Oh yeah. We have to go back and finish that tour. There's only 3 or 4 remaining shows. Thank fully the fans have been patient. So we leave in two days guys," Lars said and we all nodded
James told me while we were in rehab that I was their manager for sure and that they really didn't need anyone else. That the five of us were in it together forever.
This entire time only one thought passed through my mind,
They were only going to get bigger and bigger.
