Rain poured all throughout the state of Maine. Everyone making sure to stay inside, in less they had to go to work. Despite the depressing scene in Maine, the families made the best of their time together watching movies or playing board games together.

Except for the Tozier family.

The family all stayed in separate rooms, doing their own thing. Mister Tozier in his office, working on a new report for his work. Mrs.Tozier reading a magazine in the dimly lighted living room.

The child of the house, Richie Tozier, was switching through his television stations, bored. A normal day in the Tozier household. The family of three didn't get along when they are in a room together, so it is best for the family to keep their distance from each other.

Richie didn't mind all that much. Meant he got time to himself. Although, right at this moment, he didn't like being alone. After searching and flipping through the stations several times, the teen threw the remote out the window.

"Ugh!" He screamed, aggravated.

"Richie Tozier! What did we say about screaming inside the house?" He heard his mother ask downstairs. Richie rolled his eyes. "WhAt DiD wE sAy AbOuT sCrEaMiNg In ThE hOuSe" he copied in a whispered.

"I heard that!" The woman yelled once more. Richie sighed before rolling on his back, facing his ceiling. He heard the rain pouring, hitting the roof of his house hard. Silence came into the room for a good minute or two until Richie's face brightened up somewhat.

The boy hopped off his bed, his energetic self coming back. He walked down the stairs and grabbed his raincoat. "Mom! Is it okay if I go to a friends?" Richie asked. Not exactly paying attention to her son, she mumbled something, which Richie knew was a "yes." The boy ran outside, grabbed his bike,  which was covered in mud, but the boy didn't care, and left.

In the Kaspbrak house, Eddie laid on the couch, waiting for the storm to pass away. The truth is Eddie is terrified by rainstorms, especially thunderstorms. No one knows about his fear, cause if they did, he would be an outcast, most likely.

But of course, Eddie Kaspbrak was just thinking about the worse that could happen. He knew his friends wouldn't leave him just cause of a silly fear that he has.

Use to be, his mother would always make sure to keep her little Eddie-bear distracted from the storms, but since her disturbing passing, Eddie has to deal with his fear all by himself. Another strike of lightning followed by thunder made a whimper escape Eddie's lips, tears blurring the teen's vision. The boy's lips quivering. He prayed for God to make the storms go away and fuck off, but his prayers haven't done shit.

Eddie felt as if he was gonna be sick with all the fear he was holding in, but before he was gonna throw up, a Knock was placed on the door, making the boy jump out of his skin. Hesitantly getting on his feet, the boy ran to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and put his hand hesitantly on the doorknob.

He looked out the peephole, dropping the knife to the ground. "Richie?" His voice cracked while he opened the door quickly. The boy with glasses was soaking wet, his hair covering his eyes. "Hey, Eddie!" Richie exclaimed, his smile widening.

Without saying a word, The smaller boy grabbed ahold of Richie, and immediately attached himself to Richie's body. Richie rose his eyebrow confused, but allowed his friend to stay attached to him, while he walks inside the house.

Once the two were inside, Eddie let go, still not noticing what he just did, and Richie placed his coat on the coat rack in the corner. "How you doing?" Richie asked, placing an arm around Eddie's shoulder.

"I-I-I'm doing...g-good" Eddie stuttered, his fear more noticeable.

Concerned, Richie leads the boy to the couch. "H-Hey-Hey...what's wrong?" Richie asked. Eddie fidgeted with his hands, looking down. "Nothing" Eddie responded, looking out the window, trembling.

"Uh-huh. Okay" Richie said, obviously not believing that shit. "Eddie, you are trembling." The small boy shook his head. "I p-promise Rich, everything is fine," Eddie said, not giving his friend any eye contact. Without thinking, Richie grabbed Eddie's small hand gently, rubbing the boy's knuckles slowly. "Eddie, you can tell me anything, you know that right?" Richie whispered, raising an eyebrow. Eddie just kept silent, and still. "Eddie, come on, please." Eddie sighed and looked up at Richie.

"I-if I-I-I tell y-you...w-will you...j-judge or tell the others?" Eddie stuttered. Richie widened his eyes and shook his head. "Eddie, I would never!" Richie spoke. "Look, I know I'm not the one to be serious enough for someone to tell me what's wrong, but I promise I would never judge you or tell anyone without your consent. I promise you that."

This made Eddie smile weakly. "O-okay..." Eddie whispered, taking a deep breath. "I-I'm...i-I'm afraid of...i-I'm afraid of...of..."

Another strike of lightning came followed by thunder, interrupting Eddie. Jumping out of his skin, Eddie soon attached himself back to Richie's, tears fighting to be let down his cheeks. "Thunder?" Richie said, finishing Eddie's sentence. The fearful boy nodded, tears now rushing down his face. "Y-yessss" Eddie cried. "Very, especially after...after...P-Pennywise."

Richie rubbed the boy's back, holding him close. "Shh. It's okay" Richie whispered. Eddie shook his head, separating from Richie, just a tiny bit to wipe his eyes. "No, it's not. You probably think I'm a big baby" Eddie said, sniffling.

Richie's heart shattered. "Eddie, I don't think that!" He exclaimed. "Everyone is afraid of something. Your fear is valid."Eddie's breathing calmed down some. "R-really?" He asked.

Richie nodded. "Really" Richie responded, cupping Eddie's face gently. Once again, thunder came, making Eddie whimper once more. Richie smiled weakly, holding Eddie tightly. "It's okay, baby, I got you" Richie whispered, not caring that he just called Eddie "baby."

"Everything is okay" he rubbed Eddie's back. After moments of silence and Eddie sobbing into Richie's chest, Richie came up with an idea. "Hey, how about we watch a movie, mm?" Richie asked.

Eddie's eyes widened, and his tears stopped. "Yes!" He said. Richie giggled before going and searching for a movie. It didn't take long for him to find one that he thought was just right for Eddie.

"How about this?" Richie held a movie up. This made the boy jump in happiness. "Yes!" He exclaimed. Richie giggled once more before putting the tape in, and hopped back on the couch.

Eddie laid his head softly on Richie's chest while Richie pushed the "start" button.

An hour later, Eddie was found asleep on Richie. The taller boy laughing at the jokes, and it took til the end to realize Eddie had went to sleep.

"That was a good movie, right, Eds?" The boy looked to see Eddie asleep. This put a smile on his face. Without thinking, Richie kissed the boy's forehead.

"Goodnight, baby" he whispered, before falling asleep himself.
