To My Love

   You are probably upset with me right now. I told you it was time we went our separate ways. 8 years. I spent 8 years of my life loving you, holding you, and caring so deeply for you I don't think I could do it again.
   I'll probably never send you this letter. I'll let you stay mad at me. Let you think of me as a coward. That's fine. I don't think I could ever tell you why I let you go in person. I hate seeing you sad.
   I told you it was because we didn't communicate anymore and we were just too far apart for a relationship to work, but I couldn't tell you the most important part.
   I wanted you to find someone better. Someone who could be there for you when your sick. Be with you while your mom was in the hospital. They'll hold you in their arms when you are sad, and they won't have a problem with someone touching them.
   You are the sweetest person I have ever met. You made me laugh and smile anytime I was angry. You only saw me breakdown once and that was an accident. I didn't mean to show you my breakdowns. I low we're supposed to lean on each other, but I loved you too much to drag you down with me.
   You deserve the world, and I can't give that to you. You deserve someone who can be by your side through it all. I'm sorry for the way I ended things. I'm a coward who could never stand to see the one I love cry.
   When you find the one you've been searching for, don't let them go. I know it's hypocritical but please don't let them go. Love them as much as you loved me and even more. I'm so sorry.
   Please if you need to think I stopped loving you to move on, please do that and just don't read the rest.

   No matter what anyone tells you, I never stopped loving you. I never will. I let you go because I refuse to hold the person I love back. I wish I could be with you all my life, but it just wasn't meant to be me.
