Chapter 13: Surprise me

Lauren pov
"Lo! How was the date? Was it a date right?" Normani asked impatiently.
"Cmon Don't leave us hanging!" They said together.
"Yes, it was a date, at least i think so" i said smiling, saying the last words in low voice
"Did you kiss?"
"Yes. I kissed him. It was amazing"
"What? Did you kiss him?" They said amused. I just smiled and nodded.
I explained the "date" remembering the whole amazing night with Y/N; a bit of the bar, his history and the whole kiss thing.
"And now? Are you two dating?" Ally asked smiling.
"We haven't talked about that yet. Actually, after the kiss we just stayed there and then he took me home. That's it"
"Thats it? Are you kidding girl?" Dinah said looking at me not believing it.
"Why would i lie?" I simply said removing my coat and shoes.
They stared chatting but i just stared at my phone since i ha received a new text message. It was from Y/N:
Y/N📝🔥: "I had fun with you tonight Lauren, we should hang out more often, if you want to of course..."
He was being cute, so i decided to reply:
Lauren💚: "i am looking forward Y/N ;)"
I didn't know what to add, so I didn't do anything else and went to sleep

(The day after)

I woke up, did my usual routine and wait for the girls. Today was another writing the album day, so i just dressed up comfy and look at my phone. I wanted to see if Y/N would write to me again like A "see u later or something" but he didn't. Why he would? I mean, we aren't even dating...
After 2 h finally we arrived at the studio and we started writing some music but without Y/N since he was out, as his secretary said. I mean it was 11 in the morning of a Monday, he was probably at school...
At 14 he finally arrived at the studio.
"Hi girls, sorry for my tardiness. So, have you write something interesting?"
"Dinah and Normani did" Ally said.
"May i see?" Y/N asked while looking at them. He was avoiding me. Why so? I thought that last night we had fun as he wrote...
"We was just a moment, nothing serious
Never really paid you no mind
Dropped the bag, started paying attention

Who said I was an angel?"
"Girls! Its cool! We should totally finish it!" Y/N said happily.
"How about you Ally?"
"Nothing great really, just some ideas and a few lines..."
"May i see?" Ally just passed the paper with the words.
"I'll tell you straight how I feel with no filter
No touchin' up what you see, there's no filter
I can be cruel sometimes, outta my mind
Insecure and out the door
I am who I am and you won't have to wonder"
"Yeah, we can work on it. Nice job!" Y/N said and then it was my turn.
"And you Lauren? Are you working on something?"
"Actually i have no ideas"
"Ok then, lets see. What would you say to the crowd that will listen you? What is your message?"
"I don't know. Probably not to trust people in relationships"
"And why so?"
"There are a lot of people that say and do a lot of things and then don't even call people the day after. In particular in relationships. What do you think Y/N?" It was a pop at Y/N. He didn't even text me today, not even an Hello. I was sad about it.
"Thats true, but it may be for some circumstances, its not like everyone do it on purpose Lauren"
He said looking at me.
"And why then, not even write later, like a Hi or Sorry if i didn't reply, or Sorry, I cannot write to y..."
"If someone cannot write in that time, but then got the other person mad, he or she will make amends" i just looked at him and roll my eyes. Then i stared at the white paper in front of me and write some words. I felt his stare, but i just leave it.
Hours passed and at the end the girls decided to go back to the apartment and leave us be.
"Lauren, are you mad at me?" Y/N asked
"Why would i be?"
"Thats why i am asking"
"I am not mad, i am just a bit sad"
"And why would you be so?"
"I am sad for a lot of things, but i am mostly sad because you didn't text me today"
"Thats why also you said those things before? Lauren I didn't write to you because I didn't want to disturb you, but also because I couldn't since i was at school and i had to put my phone back and switch it off"
"Its not because you regret what had happen yesterday?" I asked.
"I regret a lot of things Lauren, but that's not one of them. I would like to have a proper date with you Lauren. As i have told you yesterday, i like you"
I listen at him and smile. He come closer and gave me a kiss on my cheek.
"Ask me out properly then" i said joking. He smiled and stayed close to me.
"Would you like to come to a date with me?"
"I would love to. Surprise me" i said while looking at him. He laughed and then said "I will, starting with this" he said and then kissed me, surprising me as he promised.
