My heart claimed you the moment I let you in

Your presence left a tear in my universe

Your smile made me fall deeper into your eyes

Eyes that showed extremes or abyss

Captured into our souls

A photo that will never fade when we see

Imprinted into thoughts

Our memories swim in the vastness of time

Space will fill the crumbles of my pain

Your touch will always linger on my skin

A heat that will spread

It will fester like fire gone rogue

until there is nothing

The bond we had will be irreplaceable

But forgotten the longer we force

Now I turn to walk away

The wind erasing the steps from the sand
