Your eyes were no longer my warmth
I could stare into them and not feel at home
What I felt replaced by dust
Memories so deep that hurt
but pride that swarms
The kisses you trailed on my skin
Became like needles cutting my flesh
The damage was beyond repair
All too late you were to fix what can not be mended
Time does not exist but away I must go
For as long as I need
The love I thought I felt
Replaced with sadness of the attachment I felt
Not the connection that never existed
Your cold heart became mines at the end
It feels nothing anymore when you stare into my soul
But your soul opened up all too late yearning for what it was losing
But just as easy you gave up and walked away
