i waited at eddies door for a couple seconds before he opened the door

"hey rich! uh, we can talk in my room, i guess" he smiled

i smiled back at him "okay eds" i stepped inside, following him to his room

we sit text to each other on his bed and he looks over at me

"so what's been bothering you, richie?" he asked, sounding concerned

i looked down so i wouldn't have to look into his eyes "i just want to get this over with quickly, s-so im just gonna get straight to the point"

he grabbed my hands and held them between us "whatever it is, rich, i'll be here for you" he smiled at me

i looked up at him and smiled again before looking back down at our hands

"eddie... i like you, i really like you, m-more then a friend way"

eddies pov

my eyes widened and i pulled my hands away from his

he quickly looks up, terrified

"i-im sorry, im gonna go home" he starts crying

he gets up to leave but i grab his arm, standing with him

i turn him around and look into his eyes

he starts crying harder so i pull him into a hug

we just fall onto the ground a hug as he continues crying into my shoulder

i finally pull away from him and look at him again "richie, i like you more than a friend way too" i kiss his cheek and smile at him

"my mom will be home soon, we can go hang out somewhere else" i put my hand on his cheek and wipe his tears, we get up and leave for the quarry
