I keep getting comments about the plot getting confusing? I apologize because it's one of those stories you have to pay very close attention to. 
                          Steve married y/n in the future with casualties, casualties being him turning into captain hydra, when Steve went to return the stones he became captain hydra. 
                          When he went back in time to return the stones and see Peggy he got more pim particles so therefore he could go back in time more than once. 
                          The old Steve is from the future of when he and y/n got married. Does that help?
