"It looks like a tornado hit this place." The male, I now know as Yoongi, calls out bluntly as he steps over the box of papers that had been thrown across the living room floor, being careful to not let the soles of his hightops scuff the unimportant letters
"Well done captain obvious." I mumble absentmindedly as I trail around my house with my eyes scanning every single little detail that I've come to memorise over the past few years of living here
he wasn't wrong, it does in fact look like a tornado had brewed in the living room and slowly made its way around the house, trashing everything in its wake, including the sofa cushions that are halfway across the room. Everything has something wrong with it, wether it be small scratches in the furniture or a painting that has somehow become slanted
Its a complete mess, which is unusual for my siblings as they both were raised as cadets and often went to military school camps. they usually kept the place spotless out of habit, or out of fear that the general will appear and scold their asses for leaving a single, unnoticeable crumb on the floor.
The family pictures that were on the walls have been torn down, some of the empty frames are lying on floor, most of them had shattered or cracked in the midst of whatever had gone down in this shit show of a house a couple of hours before
My siblings must have left in a rush, Hyeri is a sentimental, loving person so its only natural for her to take all the photos and stash them somewhere, like a crazed psychopath as Hungsoo used to call her
Why would they leave without me? that's not like them so there must have been someone else here. Someone rushing them and not allowing them to contact me, I know my siblings and this isn't the way they would behave in an emergency. But yet again, the impossible is happening right outside of my pretty rose red door, so what do I know?
"Theres a note!" Jackson chimes from then kitchen, catching everyone's attention. I make my way quickly into the room, trying not the skid on the shiny wooden flooring covered in boot marks and take the paper from his hand. I begin reading like a mad man, instantly recognising Hyeri's freakishly neat handwriting
'HANA
I know you are probably wondering what the hell is going on right now, trust me, so are we
I have to make this short as we are being rushed, the military are forcing us to pack and move out of the city and wont allow us to contact anyone, not even the school
if you make it out alive, you must go to the military base up north, the one dad was stationed at, they set up camp and that's where we are heading
I love you, stay safe
Hyeri'
I sigh deeply before passing the note to Jackson, he reads it out loud earning a few sighs and forehead rubs from the traumatised group. The events of the day are catching up to them, I can see that now that we have stopped to actually think. I would be lying if I said the guilt and frustration wasn't eating me alive like one of these 'zombies' from the inside out
