Clinging onto hope

Its been two hours of constant bickering over showers and pretty much everything else wrong with the world and im convinced my patience has grown thicker skin. Back home with my siblings, I would have at least raised my voice at someone or even an inanimate object but my lips have been glued shut ever since the group has woken up, showered and piled into the camper with their bags of belongings they found. Maybe, just maybe, these people have solved my slight anger problem

Well I highly doubt that, its only a matter of time before I'm holding an imaginary knife to one of their necks or secretly planning their deaths like a crazed psychopath. Its nothing against them, I'm just not very fond of the idea of people in general, despite agreeing to be friends with half the group

they aren't that bad really, I'm just running out of energy to keep up with them, like with my siblings. They may be 6 and 9 years older then me but I'm convinced those numbers are their mental ages

The thought is enough to add a small frown to my resting bitch face, along with the intrusive thoughts of what may have happened to Hyeri and Hyungsoo. Did they make it out of the city? did the army just kill them off like they were nothing to try and control the spread of whatever the fuck it is? or were they stupid, or in my opinion smart, enough to branch off and try and get to the military base by themselves?. I'm not doubting them, they are very smart despite their childish tendencies, but being smart isn't going to stop them from being eaten alive like R-

"Hana? are you in there?" A deep voice cuts into my dark thoughts with a bright and happy tone that doesn't seem to match the dull atmosphere of the camper, I blink a few times to focus again and turn my head to the left to find a smiley Taehyung crouched down between the passenger and drivers seat

"I am now, what's up?" I question through a yawn and stretch my arms over my head, not feeling any better then I did before. Taehyung seems to notice and bites back the smile he once had, yet he doesn't question me which I'm thankful for

"We are close to the gas station, I was just wondering if we needed anything else for the trip," He responds, his voice low and soft as if he's worried he will startle me or something just as silly. despite wanting to chuckle, I give him a soft smile before looking over my shoulder and the bag of guns leaning against the closet, out of sight and reach of the group scattered around

"We should be okay," I respond bluntly, my eyes moving back towards the window only to find the same boring green and brown blur of the trees. I sigh deeply after a few seconds of blank mindless staring, feeling a pair of eyes burning holes into the side of my face, I slowly look back to Taehyung to see him looking at me with his seemingly permanent looks of confusion. His lips downturned at the corners and dark eyes rounded "-unless We need something, then we can stop,"

"I think we need-"

Before Taehyung can finish his sentence, the Camper is coming to a slow rocky stop at the side of the road followed by a sight from Seokjin. Both Taehyung and I look to him, and then down at the dashboard where the little red pointer is just grazing the glowing E, meaning the tank is empty and we are stranded in the middle of nowhere

great, just what we needed

"What's going on?" Namjoon asks from his place at the small table, squinting at us as if he's struggling to see. I cant help but chuckle, quickly clamping my mouth closed when Seokjin shoots me a playful glare

"We have run out of gas," Seokjin grumbles out, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly as he places his forehead against the top of the wheel, trying his best not to burst out laughing at his own mistake. He settles on shaking his head and tapping his hand against the wheel
