False Vows

Stanza 1 -

You said you'd love me forever,

No matter what comes our way,

I was vowed to be your eternal lover,

Despite the bad together we'd be okay,

Stanza 2-

You swore your love to me as your lady,

And to never once hurt me,

I was told you'd never leave me,

That I could trust you with my heart's key,

Stanza 3-

You promised me a family,

But instead you left and broke me,

I was informed that one day we shall wed,

Meanings differed from the words you said,

Stanza 4-

Now I take my leave with a bow,

Knowing all you're capable of is false vows.
