It was my very first day as a third-year in high school. I'm sadly back standing on the same dull-grey ground of my schools' corridor.

Though it was my last year here, which may be "relieving", I still had a long way to go before I could officially feel "relieved". Unlike others -having a bright smile painted across their faces just by the thought of meeting their fellow classmates again after a long, monotonous break- I wasn't excited at all, not even a little ounce of excitement remained in my body. School was just another one of those years where I came home teary-eyed, stressed, or on worst cases, badly injured..

As usual, half of my face was covered beneath my face mask, whilst I strode along the narrow yet packed corridor. My eyes averted to the side, slightly eye-ing a specific group of people huddled up there, hoping not to attract their attention over towards me; they were my bullies after all. I silently unlocked my plain locker, stuffing any extra necessities and my unused textbooks for the day, along with arranging new items I bought to add such as a new, black cylindrical pen holder to replace the one that got ruined, and sticking on the class timetable.

All of a sudden, someone pummelled a swift hit across the back of my head. I felt myself losing my footing, however I immediately adjusted myself into a stable position, though my head feels concussed.

"Welcome back to school you freak," smirked one of the bullies, or should I say, Mina. Her friends let out a soft, yet irritating giggle.

"She deserved it."

"haha what a loser!"

"I think it's best if you'd take a swan dive off the building, isn't it time you died already? See you in class, freak" She chuckled. Delivering a last blow to my now numb head, they walked away.

My selfless figure stood, as the palms of my hands provided the necessary grip to get a hold of myself.

'Yeah...I probably should "take a swan dive off the building"..everyone will be happier that way'

-timeskip brought to you by chan's timtams-

"Good morning and welcome back to school!! Finally, you all have grown well as you've now reached your last year in high school, we expect you all to give it your best!" Mrs. Naomi, my English teacher began.

'yeah..last year of high school, and possibly life too..'

An abrupt knock echoed across the room.

"oh, I forgot to mention, we have a transfer student all the way from Australia joining this class today, please welcome the student with open arms!"

Everyone was nervous; who was the new student? He's Australian, so how do we communicate? Does he know Korean? Is he hot? Is he smart?; were the possible thoughts my classmate's played like a music recorder over and over across their mind.

'...Given by any chance..would they be friends with me?.. wait.. that's impossible, and such a silly thought to even begin with.'

The door creaked open. The suspensive aura engulfing the room was unbearable.

*gasp* "He's a boy," one of my classmates whispered to the other.

"He's hot..aah I don't think I'm supposed to be crushing on him when I have a boyfriend"

"Hmph..a nuisance..is it those type of boys that the girls would swoon over again?"

Murmurs and whispers roamed around quicker than lightning itself between the students, the exact moment when the new student entered the class.

My eyes slightly widened. He was indeed very..handsome and breathtaking -such a slender yet refined figure for a young person, I bet took a while to achieve that; and what shiny yet curly black locks which made me desire to run my fingers through.

Although..to be frank, he didn't look as "Australian"as the teacher claimed him to be.

'Is he perhaps mixed?'

"Hello, my name is Bang Christopher Chan, but you can just address me as Chris or Chan. I'm a Korean Australian. It's a pleasure to meet you all!" He finished with a polite bow.

"Welcome to our class, Chan. Now, please take a seat beside the girl sitting at the back to your right," pointed the teacher towards the empty seat beside me. The student scuffed down to the empty seat, plopping himself beside me.

"Hello, I'm Chan, nice to meet you," he let out a whisper, as he adjusted his bag on the wooden-patterned chair, cautiously taking out his English textbook and setting it on the desk.

"Hi..I'm Park Kyung, you can just call me Kyung. Its nice to meet you too," I replied quietly, glue-ing my eyes on my fingers, nervously fidgeting due to my social anxiety.

I felt harsh, yet fierce stares penetrating my soul, piercing it deeply within. My mind felt heavy, not only due to the hit I received to my head, but this overall feeling of mental pressure and agony chaining me up, and locking me deep down in the dark abyss. All I wanted to do at that moment was run out of my class, and maybe just..end it a-

"Excuse me miss, but may you please excuse me and Kyung? It seems like she's not feeling well. Is it ok if we could go to the nurse for a bit? Oh and those girls over there are glaring towards our table, it's pretty distracting," Chan insanely pointed out. My eyes widened in shock.

'Did he..but how..why..why did he stand up to me..'
