Cole lead me to the right of the room at the back. We placed our things at the sides of our chairs. I scan the room to see it filled with posters.
"So any words of advice before the teacher comes in." I said to Cole. He took a moment before answering.
"Just do everything that Ms. Applegate says and you'll be fine. If not, she's going to write you up." He said as look out through the window. It was for a few seconds before the Ms. Applegate made her entrance.
"Good morning class!" Ms. Applegate struck a pose after greeting the class. 'Oh boy. She's one of those theatres nerds.' She paused as she scanned the class. Her eyes landed on me. I gulp, a feeling of dread washed over me. She smiles but falters as she see Cole.
"Oh my, it seems we have another student in our class! You girl in the back next to Cole. Get up on the stage here and introduce yourself to the class!" I look over to Cole. He just shrugs.
"Don't forget to smile." He whispers. I nod as I made my way to the stage. My confidence from earlier gone. The class stares at me waiting for me.
"Uhh- I'm uhhh-"
"Hurry it on now. We don't have all day." The teacher said. The class gave me sympathetic looks. I took a deep breath as I closed my eyes. 'Come you can do this.' I reopened my eyes.
"Hi there, I'm y/n. As you can see I'm a new student and new to the city." I smile. I hold my hands behind my back as I slouch forward. I gave out a little wink.
"I hope we can all get along and become the greatest of friends." I end my little show off with a little laugh. I quickly got off the stage as I went back to my seat.
"I can see now, why you're in theatre. You were a natural up there." Cole said excitedly. He ruffles up hair once again. I just playfully scoff.
"My... that was a good introduction y/n." Ms. Applegate said. She looks shock.
"Yeah way better than your." A boy said. Which got him a glare from the teacher.
"I wouldn't put it like that... I believe that my skills are far more superior than some... little kid." She said as she crossed her arms. Some of the students laugh while they turn to look at me. 'I'm in it now.'
Ms. Applegate pulled out stacks of packets. She begins to pass the packets around. I look down at the packet. It was a play, a long one.
"Last class we were learning about love triangle in literature. This play Romeo and Juliet is one of the classics, which also has a love triangle in it. Y/n, because of your little display earlier. You get to be the female lead, Juliet. While lets see here..." Ms. Applegate look at the students.
"Cole can be Paris and... ummm, who would be the perfect fit for Romeo." I sigh, 'who would be the perfect fit for my Romeo. God, I'm such a hopeless romantic. Just imagine finding my Romeo in this school. Actually, no both Juliet and Romeo went off and commit die. I rather avoid that outcome.'
I look over at Cole he was reading his lines. 'Nah, not exactly my type, but then again I wouldn't say no if he asked me out...' I look at my lines. 'This is so cheesy.'
"Now everyone has their roles. Lets begin to act out the play." 'Wait hold up, act out the play? Me Juliet, act out love triangle. I can't even handle some random guy complimenting me. Why me?'
"No, no, no y/n for the last time, say your line right." Ms. Applegate said furiously. I stand there frozen on the small stage. Cole rubs my back.
"You're just as bad, no maybe worse than your friend, Cole." She continued on her tantrum. Cole gave her a look as if he was about to say something but the bell interrupted him.
"Thank goodness, I was about to a stroke if this class continued any longer. Please leave my class." I took a deep breath as I loudly sigh in frustration.
"Don't let her get under your skin. If it makes you feel better, I thought were still good. Even though you stutter a whole lot when Romeo went on a monologue about you." Cole hold back a chuckle. That did cheer me up a little.
"I was never good when it come with flirting or compliments. I just get so embarrassed, if we were just reading out our lines I would of been fine, but-"
"We had to act them out I know. Just remember the class is only an hour and a half. You'll manage." Cole said encouraging me. I smile at him as I grab my things. We were about to go our separate ways until Cole stopped me.
"Y/n, do you know where your next class is at?" I turn around.
"Kind of?"
"Want me to walk with you there. I have time before my class starts. Not to mention, Nya will probably killed me if I left you all alone."
"I won't mind at all, after all, I'm new to the school."
"So what class you got next?"
"P.E."
"Aww sweet, I love P.E. best subject if I say so." I laugh as he walks me to my class.
"Of course it is." Just like Nya he was swift. For a big guy like him, he was able to squeeze through tight spaces between the other students. It wasn't in no time we made it to my next class. The gym doors were open. I walk in to see the girl and boys heading to the locker room.
"I'm guessing you got everything handle?" Cole asked.
"Yeah thanks for walking me here. I really appreciate it. See ya later." I said as I walk to the locker rooms. Cole nods and went off.
