"Are you sure about this?" Aegis asked Iro, pulling him aside for a moment. The Dark Elves were all packing up and getting ready to move towards Urû'baen. Iro could understand Aegis' nervousness. The Dark Elves have always relied on fear and mystery to protect themselves from the other races. Now they were marching towards the capital city of the humans, the most superstitious race, to help them in a war against a terrifying enemy.

"Yes," Iro told him. "We couldn't defeat the Wraiths at the height of our power so we have no hope of defeating them as we are. We need allies."

Aegis' mouth twitched into a smirk. "If I recall correctly, we were all drunk at the height of our power"

"That may be so," Iro said. "But my point is we can't win alone."

Aegis stood up, for he had to bend to reach Iro's level, and squared his shoulders. "Alright then. I just hope these allies of yours are up to the task."

Nasuada was standing in the centre of the city of Urû'baen along with Arya, King Orik, King Orrin, and Nar Gharzvhog. Iro walked up in front of the monarchs and bowed, as did Fa-Lin and Aegis.

"I see you have been successful in finding your people," Nasuada said. "Have you also acquired the power of your El-Dars?"

"The El-Dars will participate in the battle only when we have no other alternative," Aegis explained. "But they have given us certain artifacts that may prove very useful in the coming battle."

"So you don't have this so-called 'power' then?" King Orrin scoffed. "Does your race even have a king of some kind that we can speak with?"

"I speak for my people in battle," Aegis told him. "But other than that, no. We do not have a ruler that governs us."

Before Orrin could make some other remark, Orik said, "Perhaps you could explain to us how we could best defeat the Wraiths?"

"Yes!" Gharzvhog said. "I would like to know as well!"
