Chapter 5: A Decision No One Wants to Make

Still Asia's P.O.V.

Seven Hours Until Dawn

I jumped hearing a door bang.
"What the hell?" Was the only thing I could say.

We heard Josh screaming from the other room. My heart was beating a thousand miles a minute.
"You hear that-"
"Its Josh," I interrupted.
"Coming from the kitchen -"

Ashley opened the door.
"Josh!" Ashley shouted.
"Josh! We're coming! Hold on!"

Suddenly, Ashley was being pulled into the room and the door closed behind her.
"Ashley!" I shouted going to the door.

Her screams could be heard from inside. Chris and I tried getting into the room. We both rammed into the door as hard as we could. The doors swung open and we both fell into the room. It took us a minute to stand from the fall. We saw Ashley laying on the floor unconscious. I looked up to see a masked man walking towards us. My heart was beating a thousand times a minute. He walked towards Chris, punching him to knock him out. I was afraid that I was next, but he just stood. He stared at me not doing anything. I didn't know what to think as he walked away, leaving me here. I swear there was something familiar about this man. I didn't what and I couldn't think of why. I did nothing as I stood there for a moment. I want to know why. Why is this happening now? I knelt down next to Chris trying to wake him.
"Chris, wake up – Chris please wake up - Chris - Chris please - Chris -"

He started to shift himself.
"Chris, -"

He groaned as he moved himself to start standing up. I helped him stand to his feet.
"Chris, are you okay?" I asked him concerned.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay," he answered.
"He took Ashley, come on we have to find her," I told him.

He held the flashlight in his hand. He nodded to me. We walked out of the room together to find Ashley.

Chris and I found ourselves in the shed, just about a mile away from the cabin.
"Ashley!" Chris and I called out.

I know we shouldn't have gone out into the dark but I had to save Ashley and Josh. I guess if we're out here I can protect them from those creatures. Just before I left the cabin, I saw Jessica's bag and I stole a mini can of hairspray from her bag. I needed it to make a flamethrower, just in case. My dad told us to always be cautious.
"Chris, Asia!" We heard Ashley call out.
"Ash, we're here!" Chris called out.
"Please - help me!"
"We're coming baby girl - just keep talking to us! What happened?" I asked knowing we were getting closer to her voice.
"He tied me up - I can't move,"
"Ashley, we're gonna get you out of this, don't worry!" Chris told her.
"I'm really scared, - hurry please!!! oh gosh Asia, you guys have to get me out of here before he comes back,"

I jumped as I heard a sound from a light turn on. Chris and I cautiously turned around. Tears immediately swarmed my eyes. My hands went to cover my mouth.
"Oh my gosh," was the only thing I could say at this moment.

Josh and Ashley were tied up (hands above their heads) in chains to a wall.
"Josh," I said filled with sadness and despair.
"Ughhh, – Chris, Asia are you there?" Ashley asked.

Neither of us could say anything do to shock.
"Hello," a man's voice sounded through the room.

Though I would just call him a psycho.
The psycho continued, "And thank you all for joining me."
"Josh! Oh my gosh, Josh wake up!" Ashley shouted to Josh.

Josh's eyes opened, he looked around and he was fearful of what was happening.
"Huh? – What? – What is this?" Josh asked afraid.

Tears rolled down from my eyes. I moved closer to the fence as Chris tried to open the door. I put my hand on the fence, several tears now falling as I stared at Josh. The psycho's voice sounded again:
"Tonight we're going to conduct a little experiment. A sort of test."
"Ashley, what the hell is going on?" Josh asked her.
