Still Adelina's P.O.V.

Two Hours Until Dawn. . .

5:03 a.m.

Mike and I were walking through the halls of the sanatorium trying to get to the path to the mines. He held a lantern as he walked.
"Why did you have to punch me so hard, Adelina?" Mike asked me.

His voice took a whining trail. A slight laugh left my lips.
"Awe, Mikey, are you baby? - Can't handle a punch - from a girl?" I asked him with a smile.
"No, I just - I want to know why you did it," Mike answered.
"I was angry, you did make a stupid move, -"
"You could have told me without punching me in the face,"
"Oh, come on Mike take it like a man, - I thought you were a wild child, that's why I call you that. You've always been so brave and confident and - wild I felt that it suited you,"

Mike laughed slightly as he looked at me.
"I can still show you just how much of a wild child I really am,"
"Mike, don't even think about it,"

He said nothing as he smiled. It grew silent between us as we walked. Mike sighed before he said:
"I'm sorry about what I said about Asia, and what could have possibly happened to her-"
"Please, don't talk about it, I have hope that her and Josh are still alive and we will save them,"
"Yeah, yeah, we will,"

Mike was trying to be encouraging. I sighed as we walked.
"If you were so angry with me, why did you want to come with me?" Mike asked me.
"Just because I was angry with you Mike, doesn't mean I stopped caring for you. I didn't want you to have to face these things alone," I explained to him
"If you think about it I've already dealt with one, when it kidnapped Jess from the guest cabin. I actually went chasing after it, just to save her, though I was too late -"
"I'm sorry about what happened to Jessica, Mike,"

Mike went silent for a minute.
"I'm over it by now, -"
"You're clearly not, - Mike, you can talk to me about anything,"
"There's nothing to talk about - I still don't understand why you're risking your life to make sure I make it safely,"
"Its hard to explain Mike, it's just-"
"What's so hard to explain shorty -"

Awe, I missed that. I may have been angry with him but I like it when he calls me that. He is the only one who has ever been able to get away with calling me that. Josh tried once, but he soon learned.
"It just is okay,"
"But why? We're best friends can't we -"

I stopped walking putting my hand directly on his chest. It stopped Mike from walking but he was confused. I turned around balling the top of his shirt in my hand I brought him down to me, placing my lips quickly onto his. I don't know why I did it. He just kept bugging me and I didn't know how to stop him. I guess I could have hit him again, but I feel as though he's already had enough of that. I leaned back from him, not wanting to waste a lot of time just standing here. One of the Wendigos could be lurking around any corner.
"I like you okay, I have since I first met you, but I never got the chance to do anything about it," I finally admitted.

Hmm, I wonder if this is how Asia felt when she told Josh. Or if she told Josh.
"Are you sure it's just like?" Mike asked as he put his finger on my cheek lightly.

An unwanted smile passed my lips.
"Maybe it's more,"
"That's okay, I love you too Lina,"

Mike said to me as a smile passed his lips. Wow, that did not go how I expected it to. I heard a Wendigo scream far off in the distance of the building.
"We have to go Mike," I said to him.
"Yeah,"

We started to walk away again. I heard a low bark coming right up behind us. My jaw dropped in awe as I turned around to see a wolf.
"Omg!" I exclaimed quietly.

Mike turned around.
"Oh, hey buddy," Mike said to the wolf.
"Mike is there something you want to tell me," I said to him as I crossed my arms.
"I gave him a bone earlier when I was here, I guess this wolf belonged to your father, -"
"Omg!"
"I guess he remembered me,"
"Well, he's coming with us, - come on boy,"
