~Ebony~
(A week later)

I was sitting at the table across from my very own mother explaining the situation at hand. Tamia drowned herself in a misery that was too deep to defy. She blamed herself everyday, every hour, and every minute for Kellie's death.

She wouldn't eat, speak, she quit her job. It's just taking a toll on her, she beats herself up constantly just for that happening. Mekhi cries for her at night, and hell I be right long with him. She's missed when she's around, I fear for her more than I fear of what she's capable of.

"Mama I can't tell you the last time I've seen her. She locked herself in Kellie's old room for a week, I don't know what to do."

"Be Patient with her baby, that was her only sister it's gonna take a while."

"I know mama but she has to realize she doesn't have to go through this alone, I understand what she's going through I do. I loved Kellie as if she was mines it pains me knowing she's no longer here with us. I'm scared for Tamia, ma she could literally at this point take herself."

"Mommy." Mekhi walked downstairs to me, I picked him up sitting him on my lap.

"So this is my handsome grand baby you've been keeping from me."

"Say hello Mekhi." He waved smiling at her.

"May I?" My mom asked for him as he went willingly to her.

"He looks just like you."

"Yea he does."

"Mommy?"

"Yea baby." I fixed his snack while my mommy held him.

"I want Ma Ma."

"I want Ma Ma too, but we have to let her get well."

"But mommy it been a month."

"A week actually but I know the feeling."

"Mind if I speak to her?"

"Go ahead." She got up going upstairs to where Tamia was.

~No POV~

"Ebony and all these damn steps, if I break my neck I hope she know I'm suing. She got money she can handle it." Ebony's mother said to herself as she walked upstairs

She walked in and seeing that Tamia had it pitch black in the room . She Closed the door turning on the lights, She then knew what Ebony was talking about to her Tamia looked as if she was losing herself. Ebony's mother peeped over seeing Tamia holding a gun, she backed out going to get Ebony.

"Ebony honey, I think you should go up the—." A shot was fired, Ebony shot upstairs.

"Tamia baby put it down."

"Ebony you don't understand, I need to be with her."

"It's not your time."

"It wasn't hers either. Please let me be with her." Ebony's heart began to ache hearing her wife speak that way.

"Tamia no."

"I have to."

"No you don't."

"Yes I do!"

"No you don't!"

"I do Ebony I do, it's not fair."

"Tamia don't!"she pulled the trigger but the barrel was empty

"UGHH!" Tamia screamed out of anger breaking down fully. Ebony walked towards her taking the gun from Tamia's shaky hands.

"I'll leave you two." Ebony's morning walked down with Mekhi, leaving Tamia and Ebony alone.

"It's ok."

"It's not Ebony it's not." Tamia pinched a hole in the wall scaring Ebony a little. She knew Tamia had a anger problem but she never seen it in action.

"It should've been me, don't you realize that! It was suppose to be me." Tamia began to hyperventilate as she was having some sort of anxiety attack.

"Look at me baby, calm down." Ebony held Tamia's face in her hands looking her in her eyes, she knew only one thing that would calm her down so she went for it. Ebony kissed Tamia passionately holding her close. Gradually Tamia's breathing and heart rate slowed down.

"That's it baby breath." Ebony coached her not once leaving her lips. She felt hot tears against her face. Tamia held so much pain and heart ache that she didn't know how to release it. It was just bottled up anger that she held inside that ate at her and turned her heart completely cold.

At the funeral she showed no emotion no tear, no nothing she held it all in.

"That's was my sister man. I lost my baby sister." It hurt Ebony's heart seeing her love torturing herself over something she couldn't control, something that was out of her will.

"Let it out I'm here for you. You don't have to be strong anymore, you don't have to hold it in any longer. You got me, I'll be your shoulder to cry in until you get all out, I love you." Ebony kissed her forehead as Tamia laid in Ebony's lap crying her eyes out.

"It hurts so bad, Ebony."

"I know baby, I know."

"Ma Ma?"

"I'm sorry Ebony he wouldn't stay."

"Come here Mekhi." Tamia sat up wiping her eyes. He came up to her hugging her tightly.

"I'm sorry baby boy." She kissed his cheek and he wiped her eyes.

"It's ok Ma Ma, I love you."

"I love you more, so much more."

"Do you need some more time?" Ebony's mom asked looking between the two

"Yea."

"Ok, come on Mekhi." He kissed Tamia walking with his grandmother.

Ebony closed the door getting back into to bed as Tamia laid at the other end staring at absolutely nothing.

"Cry, just let it all out. It's only hurting you to keeping in. Cry until you can't cry anymore. I'll be here, you have me. Let it go, whatever pain you feeling that's burdening you, let it go. Stop beating yourself up, it's doing nothing but breaking you down. Kellie wouldn't want that from you, she wouldn't want none of this for you. She'd probably tell you to suck that shit up and move on. So in any good Remembrance if her don't do this to yourself."

"Can you do me a favor?" Ebony eyes met Tamia's bloodshot eyes, immediately softening her heart.

"Anything."

"Can you hold me?"

"Yea." Tamia crawled in the arms of her wife, who held her ever so tightly.

"Don't let go."

Ebony looked down before kissing her forehead. "I won't not now, not ever."
