ah, it was finally our first showcase. we were now at music bank in the dressing room, getting our hair and makeup done. we weren't the only group there, there were other groups too, like stray kids, nct, etc. yeonjun's group was also here, getting their hair done.
once my hair and makeup was done, i waited for the rest of my group members at the waiting room, not so far from the dressing room.
since i didn't want to waste time, the backstage director taught me how to use the microphone headset. it was more difficult than trying to pass an audition.
once i was done with that, i practiced my dance and rap. soon the others came, with our senior group and pd nim.
"annyeonghaseyo, itzy iminda," we greeted as a group.
"annyeonghaseyo," they greeted back.
"ah, since it's your first showcase, don't be too nervous. i learned that if you get too nervous, you might stutter and start to mumble the words." namjoon said.
"did you eat yet? you should eat before going up on stage, so that your stomach won't grumble while you're performing." jin said.
"aish, you look so excited. you guys must be excited right? yah hyungs, don't give too many advice!" jhope said making us laugh.
"just do your best okay? don't think about anything else but your 1st showcase." jungkook said.
"okay, thank you!" we thanked.
soon, we went up on stage. i decided to take their advices and try my best, no matter what. i could hear the fans cheering us on even though it was our first showcase, it made me happy knowing that people liked us already.
once we were done, we got off stage and we were already sweating. but not me tho, i was jumping around backstage and screaming "woo hoo!".
but soon i stopped due to lack of air. then it was txt's time to perform. seeing beomgyu on stage dancing and singing makes me happy, i knew this has always been his dream. he always talked about dancing and singing.
then i looked at yeonjun, he had a bright smile on his face throughout the whole song. his dance moves, his perfect voice singing along with the song, his lips forming a smile. i don't know what this feeling is, i don't want to feel it.
after they finished performing, they went backstage and unfortunately we met. i saw how hard they were sweating so i gave them my mini fan in my hand. i gave mine to yeonjun, lia was about to give it to yeonjun but yeonjun took mine instead.
lia gave me a glare before giving her one to hueningkai. yeji gave her one to soobin, beomgyu got yuna's one, chaeryeong gave her one to taehyun.
"wow your performance was great!" i said as they laughed.
"wow, yours too!" soobin said.
"you know, i noticed something. yeonjun hyung kept looking backstage just now, and i saw ryujin noona staring at someone on st-" i covered hueningkai's mouth before he could spill out anything else.
then we walked together to the resting room, thats when yeonjun pulled my wrist back.
"were you looking at me onstage just now?" he asked.
"no i was looking at justin beiber," i said as he laughed.
"were you looking at me?" i asked as he nodded.
"yes of course, why wouldn't i?" he said, smiling at me.
"stop doing that." i said and folded my arms.
"doing what? making your heart beat a million times faster? or making you fall in love with me?" he asked, going down to my height.
"both." i said and walked away.
i felt him pull my wrist, "yah what's up with people pulling my wris-" i stopped once i realised our faces were close.
i backed away, not wanting anybody to see us. but of course, someone did.
"uhm.." we heard someone clearing their voices.
"oh jin- wait jin oppa?! it isn't what you think it is i swear!" i panicked.
"aish you kiddos, you know you shouldn't be having afairs! and further more, you just debuted. you're lucky i saw you, i will keep this secret okay? just don't do it so openly again." he said and walked away.
as soon as he walked away, i faced yeonjun, "you heard what he said, let's just be workmates. i don't want to ruin anything else for both of us." i said and walked away.
yeonjun's pov (again hehe)
soon it was the ending of music bank. we all headed out on stage waiting to see who will win. i glanced over to ryujin, she was really serious about that thing we talked about.
"between bts, chung ha, who will win? congratulations bts!" the mc said as we all cheered.
soon it was their encore stage, they invited itzy, ryujin's group and my group to stay with them on stage.
back to ryujin's pov
"ayo hitman bang introduces, the hit it the second audition," i whispered to yeji making both of us laugh, and the others looking at us.
"you making me a boy with love," jimin sang into the mic.
i glanced over to yeonjun, and i noticed he was looking at me. i gave him a sincere smile, he gave me his signature smile, the one that makes me like him even more.

soon we all took the car back to the entertainment. lia was sitting beside the drivers seat, while chaeryeong, yuna sat at the passanger seat and yeji and i took thr back seat.
when we arrived the entertainment, i never knew we would already have fansites. the building was surrounded with cameras and screaming.
since they were probably bored of waiting there, i gave a little entertainment, i danced a little on the way there. soon we reached pd nim's office.
"come in!" we heard and went in, we saw txt too.
"ah, firstly congratulations on both your debuts. i appreciate the hard works you've done today. itzy, you are the first girl group in my entertainment. txt, you are the first rookie group i had that listened so well to me." he started.
"let's set some ground rules shall we? firstly, as you all know, strictly no dating, no dating each other. got it? no flirting, no kissing. just talk. remember, if you like anyone, come and tell me, i won't kill you or anything. i just like it when people are being truthful to me." he said.
"okay," both the groups replied.
i looked at the ground, "ms ryujin, please look at me when i'm talking." i heard pd nim say.
"o-oh, sorry." i said looking back at him.
"as i continue.." he started but i didn't listen.
all i could think about was yeonjun, choi yeonjun. what if jin already told pd nim that's why pd nim is talking about this now. what if-
"that's the end, can i meet you, yeonjun and ryujin?" i mentally cursed at myself.
"yes sir?" i said as he pointed to the seats infront of him signalling us to sit.
"well, jin told me about what you did earlier. i thought you knew better, no dating. this wasn't the only time but i saw how you guys were always together while you were trainees. is there something going on between the both of you?" he asked.
"no-" yeonjun cut me off.
"sir may i talk to you in private?" yeonjun said as he nodded and asked me to wait outside.
thats when i started panicking.
