Daenerys
She sat in her rooms alone, looking out the window. The same window that she had watched Aegon leave, atop Rhaegal not an hour before. For some reason, she stayed there watching the sun grow higher into the sky, watching it offer its heat and light to the mere human under it.
Some say she was a god, that the sun was the wife of the moon destined to be apart for the rest of there days. She wondered what anguish a creature in such a predicament would feel, she knew if she was in the same situation she would surely let herself grow cold instead of brightening the sky. She suspected that the sun was angry, that its fire burned because she was raging against her curse and she suspected that the moon had grown darker, colder because of his sadness.
She let the thought linger for a while as she watched the people go about there lives as if the doings of the sun and moon made no consequence to them. She sometimes wished to be those people, sometimes envied them. Having no responsibilities but what to make for supper, having no one that relied on them but themselves or their families. But she could never be them, she was a Queen, she was to live at the mercy of her responsibilities.
A knock at her doors casting reality over her daze. She found herself sighing into the cool air, her fingers loosening in their grip of the balcony railing. "Who is it?" She called as she stepped back into her rooms, picking up the cup she had discarded a few moments before and taking a sip.
The door cracked open, a crop of brown slick back hair was the first thing she saw as a man popped his head through the small crack he had made to reveal himself. "It is Sam, Your Grace, Samwell Tarley." He said as he showed his face to her, a small smile on his features.
She smiled in return, enjoying the way he timidly opened the door wider at her behest. "Come in, Samwell," She said kindly, waving for her to come into her rooms.
He did so, nervously closing the door behind him as he took a step into her private room. His eyes scanned over her rooms before landing on her, taking her in with a thick swallow showing he was nervous. "I... I-I wished the speak with you about something." He said gripping his notes and leather folders with his fingers.
She couldn't help but smile again but she wished not to be rude so she hid said smile with her cup. "Speak freely then Samwell and come and sit with me as you do so." She said, sitting down at her little coffee table and gesturing for him to do the same.
He shuffled over to her, sitting before her and watching her carefully thinking of words to start with. "I-I... I have received information about a man claiming to be Aegon Targaryen, son of your brother Rhaegar and Elia Martell." She listened to him explain softly.
She didn't know how to feel about the news, to be happy at the fact that she had more family. Or to be angry at the fact that this man could be an imposter and could be using her dead nephew's name in vain. But if it was true that would also mean he was the heir to the throne above both her and Jon, which could mean all she had done would have been for nothing.
He couldn't be though, her nephew was killed by the mountain with his mother and sister. His head smashed head into pieces, leaving him unrecognisable to the people in court who had to witness the babes bodies. He was dead along with the rest of her family and now this man was trying to take his name and his position for his own gain, she would not allow it.
"Do you think its the truth?" She asked knowing he was smart enough to know but still she didn't know if she was asking herself or him. She just needed someone else to input in the battle in her mind.
He shrugged, "I know nothing, only that he claims to be the Prince of Dragonstone and the heir to the Iron throne. He popped up in Volantis and my sources tell me that he is going to be sailing to Westeros soon to take the throne." She felt white-hot rage fill her, her fingers clenched the chair trying to ease the tension. "There is more." He added, tentatively.
