Chapter 38

Hall and X were both bleeding and panting heavily, yet they weren't in a fight with a beast. They were in a fight with each other.

After a few moments, the two broke off, Lucy smiling widely.

"You've gotten better!"

The white haired male chuckled, blushing slightly as he gave a small smirk.

"Well, you're a good teacher."

This got the reaction he wanted, a bright red blush with a soft whiny sound.

The taller chuckled at that, and then a soft silence fell around them. It was time to ask the question that had been bothering X for a while, or else he'd never ask it.

"Luc, do you know who the Blue Knight is?"

At the name, the trained hunter stopped smiling, their eyes growing wide.

"How do you know that name?" They whispered.

"My boss told me he was called that." He lied quickly. He didn't know how his mentor might react to hearing he rooms with a Great One.

An excited squeal left the small male, a bright smile quickly forming on his lips.

"You work for the Blue Knight!" The black haired male quickly got in front of the other, his smile almost blinding.

X looked off to the side, before looking back at his soon to be boyfriend... If all goes well on their date night. Carefully, he nodded.

Lucy backed away with a happy jump around, laughing and giggling almost like a child. A rare thing he does unless he was still feeling the affects of the New Moon.

"Oh my god! The Blue Knight is, like, the most powerful Hunter there ever was!" He cried out, grabbing the taller's hands. "He was able to slay a whole nest of Beasts in one night alone! He could use almost any weapon too! But, but," He paused, taking a deep breath as his eyes shimmered in that shattered moon look. "His most reconizable weapons would be his glowing blue, dual swords! God, I would love to see those! But, that's unlikely since he's probably retired by now."

At that point, the smaller started to ramble about all the old rumors and stories behind the Blue Knight.

They all were brillent, all keeping to the same basic idea of the guy basically being almost as strong as an Eclispe himself!

"Whoa, whoa!" The taller male put his hands up, finally getting the other to breathe! "You said he'd be retired by now... Why?"

The smaller male blushed, remembering he wasn't babbling about how cool Blue Knight was to his friends... But to his crush and a newbie.

"He had too... He became way too well known... And a lot of Great Ones and Beasts went into hiding because of him... They also learned to wait him out..." 

The white haired male made an O with his mouth. That would... That would honestly explain two things. One, why Dust seemed so deadly nervous and two, why Berry was working for a silly restaurant.

"Okay... Can we train some more?" The taller male raised his hands up some, quirking an eyebrow.

Halluciv giggled, nodding as he also raised his fists.

"I'm not going to stop till you're on the ground this time."

A flirty smirk formed on the other, who winked at that.

"Can't wait~"
