A lonely Christmas

25th December. It's meant to be a joyous time. It's meant to be a time to reunite with family and friends. It's meant to be a happy time.

It wasn't a happy time for any of the Avengers or May Parker.

Their nephew had been taken by HYDRA. There hasn't been any leads as to where he was being held.

Now, Peter wouldn't have wanted them all to be unhappy at such a joyous time so they all tried to be happy.

Everyone was gathered round the big tv screen. They were watching 'Elf', Peter's favourite Christmas movie.

"Daddy, why is everyone sad?"
Five year old Morgan Stark asked her father.

"Well, you know how I told you that you have a big brother? Well, Peter's favourite time of the year was Christmas and we miss him very much."
Tony said, trying very hard not to break down in front of his daughter.

"What was Peter like? Was he nice?"

"Well Morgan, Peter was the nicest boy I've ever met. He always put others first and even though it's been five years since we've seen him, we still have hope to find him, that he's still alive."

"How did you and Peter meet?"
Morgan asked.

"Well, me and Uncle Steve had an argument. It went into a fight and I needed Spider-Mans help. I found out that Peter is Spider-Man and I asked him why he does what he does. And he told me that if he didn't do what he does, then bad things would happen. And he told me that, before he became Spider-Man, his uncle Ben was shot in front of him and he could have done something. So he became Spider-Man."
Tony said.

By now, May paused the movie. Everyone was listening to Tony explain who Peter was.

"Did you and Uncle Steve make up?"

"Yeah, if he hadn't, I wouldn't have let him near you."

"How old was Peter when he went missing?"

"He was barely seventeen. It was the day after his birthday and he got taken. He would be 22 years old this year. The same age as your cousin Shuri. In fact, Peter and Shuri had the same birthday. We would celebrate their birthdays together and it would always end with a big prank. It doesn't happen anymore, it brings back to many bad memories."
Tony said sadly.

"Do you have any photos of him?"
Morgan asked.

"I have a few yeah why?"

"No reason. I just want to see them."
Morgan hurriedly said.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Is the subject ready?"
A HYDRA agent asked.
"Nearly. He is still showing signs of recognition of his past life. He is responding to the names of 'May Parker', 'Natasha Romanoff', 'James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes' 'Morgan Stark' and 'Tony Stark' sir."
Another agent spoke.
"We will soon get that ironed out of him. Have you matched his DNA to anyone yet?"
"All we know is that his parents aren't Mary Fitzpatrick or Richard Parker. His DNA matches two agents here but we do not know who yet. We are searching any of the tests that require two agents to mate but there is about a hundred so it will take a while sir."
The agent said.
"Hail HYDRA."
"Hail HYDRA!"
The two agents made their own ways to different parts of the base. One agent made their way to a command centre and the other made their way to a cell with a young man tied up in it.
"Hello Peter Parker."
The young man looked up and sneered at the agent.
"I guess you want more information on the Avengers. Well, you won't be getting anymore from me."
Peter spoke with an almost perfect Russian accent.
"Oh no, we've got plenty of information now. We still won't be letting you go. But we thought it would be nice to tell you that it's Christmas. We might let you see pictures of your family but then again, what's better than a video call?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Boss, there is an incoming video call coming in. I cannot trace where the call is coming from."
Even FRIDAY had changed in the years that Peter had been gone. She's turned back into the unemotional AI that she was back when Tony first coded her.

"Place the video call onto the screen, it's probably eye-patch."
Tony sighed.

"Hello. I have something that you might like."
A man with a very heavy Russian accent spoke.

"What? What do you have?"
Natasha asked a bit hurriedly.

The screen turned from black to a figure that was covered in dried blood.

"Hey aunt Tasha. It's been a while hasn't it?"
The figure spoke.

"Peter."
May breathed out.

"Daddy is that my big brother?"
Morgan asked.

"Y-yeah."
Tony said, crying.

"Hi Peter! I'm Morgan. Your little sister."

"Hey Morgan. I'm your big brother. I can tell your Mr Starks daughter, you look so much like him."
Peter said.

Everyone could see the pain in Peter's eyes.

"Who is everyone? I only know Mr Stark, Uncle Bucky, Aunt Tasha and Aunt May."

Wanda and Shuri nearly cried. It hurt them so much to see their brother forgetting them.

T'Challa took Wanda into a hug and Peitro (he's still alive bitches) hugged Wanda.

The agent returned with another agent.

"Well Peter. It turns out you aren't related to your dear Aunt May."
The first agent spoke.

"Well Peter. It turns out you aren't related to your dear Aunt May."
FRIDAY translated.

Peter looked confused.

"It turns out your parents are, James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes and Natasha Romanoff. I bet they already knew that though. That's why they apologised to Stark, they found out who you were and wanted to get near you."
The second agent spoke.

Everyone turned to face Bucky and Natasha.

"Is it true?"
Steve asked.

"Yeah. We were forced to have Peter but then I escaped with Peter and I had to put him in an orphanage."
Natasha sadly said.

"Well, I guess it would hurt you if you see your precious son getting hurt."
FRIDAY translated for them again.

"Don't hurt him."
Bucky snarled.

The video call ended with Peter screaming.

"Fuck!"
Bucky shouted.

"No."
May started crying.

Pepper hugged May and cried silently.

"FRI, did you manage to track that call?"
Tony asked.

"I'm afraid not sir."

"Fuck. Shit."
Tony breathed out.
