Battle scenario time!
The smilodon wandered these dangerous plains. Then the thylacoleo jumped down fron a huge branch. It growled at the intruder. Smilodon bared his sharp (but easily broken) teeth and deeply growled, too. They quickly engaged in combat. The smilodon strikes down the thylacoleo, but it jumped up and bit one of his teeth into a stump. The smilodon, now enraged, bit the neck of the thylacoleo and killed it. Smilodon wins.
Verdict: smilodon is bigger and bulkier, so it has more of a chance of winning, but its more of a 50/50.
