The day that Lincoln died has been on Lily's mind for 13 months, she never thought that he would sacrifice himself to save her and her mother & that was the day that a Loud tried to manipulate her to make her think that Lincoln actually kidnapped her and almost murdered their family. Lily didn't know what to believe that Lincoln and Ronnie Anne actually loves her as their daughter or to return to Royal Woods.

That same night when they went on a mission to stop the renegades from blowing up the entire city, Lily began to questioning her loyalty to the Ozunu and her parents, when the renegades were defeated, the bomb was the only thing to be stopped or the entire city of Los Ángeles would be blown to smithereens.
Lincoln: Go Lily I'll be ok
Lily: Not until you answer my question Lincoln, what am I to you, what do I mean to you?

The bomb blow up but only the building was destroyed not the entire city but unfortunately Lincoln didn't survive.

Lily: I don't think that's possible mom, no one could've survived that explosion
But then they got alert that the renegades are attacking downtown Chicago, Lily and Ronnie Anne jumped into action. Meanwhile there was a masked figures on top of one of the buildings, looking at renegades trying to attack but Lily and Ronnie Anne attacked defending the people of Chicago.
Lily: You renegades never learn do you?
Ronnie Anne: You'll pay the price of terrorism
But renegade reinforcements came and attacked by surprise leaving our two heroines wounded until the masked figured attacked the renegades.
Renegade #1: I-it's him the masked warrior
Renegade #2: Let's get out of here
Renegade Leader: No let's destroy him
Lily and Ronnie Anne witnessed the techniques of the masked warrior and saw that they're the same techniques that Lincoln used, they both fought back but one of the renegade ninja hurt Lily in the face by surprise....big mistake, the masked warrior removed his mask and revealed himself as Lincoln....he survived but with a scarred face.

Explanation
When ninjas from the nine clans were searching for survivors in the building that exploded in Los Ángeles, they found Lincoln, to them it was a miracle that he survived and they were about to sent a message that he survived but then more renegades attacked Lincoln tried to fight back but he was too wounded to attack and they killed him but he survived a second time and tried traveled back to Chicago as fast as he could but as he was trying to return he suffered from amnesia but soon he regain his thoughts and returned to Chicago.
