Dear Diary,

I feel silly doing this, but I fear this is the only way.

I met someone today.

I can't believe she actually noticed me.

I wasn't alone out there. There were others around me. So many other options for her to choose from. Some I'm sure would be much better suited to her tastes.

But she chose me, and I'll forever be grateful. I'm convinced this must be fate.

She's...

Beautiful.

I wish I could say more about her, but we've only just met. But what I learned about her is that she loves to read.

I watched her eyes scan page after page, line after line. Taking it in, immersing herself in her book.

The lucky one she chose.

I imagine that she puts herself in the shoes of the characters as they venture off on their daunting quests; as they overcome trying hardships; as they survive even the darkest of hours;

As they fall in love.

I hope she will gaze at me the same way. For her to look upon me with the same interest, with even half of that, would be bliss.

I hope it's me she finds interesting.
