My Dearest Diary,

My work has me traversing the globe lately. I see countless smiling faces and I often wonder if I will ever come across yours, the one I adore most.

How wonderful that would be!

And also...
Frightening.

Here, I am safe. Here, I am in the comforts of my theoretical enclosure, my virtual aviary,

My digital pages shield me.

But there...
There you will see me for me.

I fear I will not live up to your expectations of me, that you find my prose a sickly shade of purple and really wish for me to get to the point of this Dear Diary.

Or maybe you won't.
Maybe I am mistaken.

Maybe you will run to the arms that are always open for you, to the love that always surrounds you, even now.

Even as your striking eyes scan these pages, their celestial depths taking in this purple prose of mine, it envelopes you.

I pray you feel it in the center of your being, as I feel your love in the center of mine.

Silly me.
I needn't worry about such things at all.

I know you will always accept me.
And that fact brings me exquisite joy.
