The chilly fall air stings their cheeks and noses as they step outside. They aren't completely drunk, but anyone would be able to tell that they were a bit tipsy.
Basic exchanges were shared back in the club, but it's not like either of them remember much. They just both assumed they knew each other, so that's why no questions were asked.
"Hi, I'm Taeyong. Wanna buy me some drinks? I forgot to bring my wallet." His smile beams brighter than the strobe lights the club. His words were already slightly slurred, but he didn't care. He was there to have fun and to forget his worries.
"Sure, I don't care. I'm Jaehyun, by the way." Jaehyun smirks as he sets a new tab for the two of them to share.
Now, the duo have left the club, running around the city, enjoy each other's presence. If it weren't for Taeyong's burning need to get completely wasted, neither of them would be here. Actually, they'd both stay till the club would close, too drunk to even stand on their own.
Their drunk giggles add to the busy city ruckus, though no one can hear them over the continuous honking from the traffic filled streets. They swing their arms in synchronization, their hands intertwined tightly with each other.
The smile that Taeyong showed off to convince Jaehyun to buy him drinks was shining bright yet again. Once his smile is seen by anyone, happiness spreads like wildfire throughout their body.
"Oh!" Jaehyun's voice jumps out and catches Taeyong's attention right away, "There's a place I want to show you. It's so cool and I love going there all the time!"
Now, there was no "place" like this that existed. Jaehyun just wanted to spend more time at Taeyong's side. Smooth for Jaehyun's mind to think of something so quickly, despite being not on the sober side.
"As long as you don't try to kill me, I'll go wherever with you!!" Taeyong's smile never dropped saying that, kind of scaring the younger.
"Trust me, I can't kill you, or even hurt you if I wanted to. You don't have to worry about any of that when you're by my side." Jaehyun says as he catches a cab for the two of them. Their hands unhook, turning cold but gaining easy access to get into the cab without any trouble.
"That's good to know." Taeyong says and grins wide yet again, not taking his eyes off of the younger. He's so mesmerized by his visuals, how could he just look away?
"Take us to..." Jaehyun reaches for his wallet, noticing it's flat, indicating there's no cash in it, "...anywhere that you'll drive us to for free...?"
The cab driver's face turns beet red with anger, and the drunk duo quickly rush out of the cab before anything serious could happen. The driver presses on the gas pedal in fury, right into slow traffic, almost causing a large crash. Multiple other cabs honk at him, but nothing else occurs after that.
Jaehyun tenses up, slowly turning to the older, "So... it's alright if we just walk back to my apartment, right? Unless you're uncomfortable with that, then I can just walk you home."
Thinking for a quick 0.02 seconds, Taeyong intertwines their hands together, just like moments before the cab incident. "Alright, let's go!!" He starts to walk foreword, dragging Jaehyun with him.
"Um... my apartment is that way." Jaehyun tugs at Taeyong's hand to get his attention, the thumb of his other hand pointing back behind them.
"Right.. I knew that! I one-hundred percent knew that." The two of them break out into laughter, walking in the correct direction of Jaehyun's apartment with a bounce in their steps.
