Following the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, the Ministry officially declared Voldemort to be back, and the Second Wizarding War was said to have begun. Students weren't even home a month before the Brockdale Bridge was brought down and half of England was destroyed.

Upon leaving Hogwarts, Draco was immediately summoned to join the Death Eaters. As a way to punish Alexandra, Voldemort placed the imagine of Draco receiving his Dark Mark in her head for nights on end before suddenly stopping. Everyone at the Burrow just believed she'd been having nightmares following the battle, and let it go rather than asking many questions.

Other than her nightmares, Alexandra hasn't seen Tom since the night they kissed. This gap in visits was dangerous seeing as Tom had been able to open the Chamber of Secrets and create his first two horcruxes while she was away. Unable to feel her presence, only his thoughts were distracting. Those, however, only grew into physical cravings for her touch. Once he felt that sensation the night of the battle, he longed to feel it again.

Alexandra, on the other hand, was reading book after book to see if she could find anything to help her understand her prophecy. It wasn't until Ron mentioned that Peristera was written on the prophecy that Alexandra got a clue. After attempting to translate it from many different languages, she finally figured it out to be the Greek word for dove.
