Chapter 4: More Than Meets The Eye

(Night still keeps her secrets to herself, but she worries they may figure it out including Bumblebee. So at the scrapyard, Russell looks at amusement park)

Russell wishes to go to the park, but so far. Fix-it fails time cheer him up, but Denny suggest to him to check out a football field where other kids play. Elsewhere, a decepticon, Bisk emerges from water hazard at a gold course. Bisk was pleased about his achievements he had so far, until the Autobots arrived to capture him. Bisk zaps Grimlock, knocking him almost on top of Sideswipe. Night had pushed him out of the way. He proceeds and blasts Bee and Strongarm next. Sideswipe and Grimlock try to handle Bisk. "I saved the universe from Starscream, Megatron and Dark energon.",Bee says.

"I'm sure Starscream didn't mean harm...!",Night hears him over his comm.

"You don't know what he's capable of. You don't know him. Sideswipe, cascade with Strongarm and me, Grimlock, splash down maneuver. Go!",Bee orders them. Night was hurt when Bee said that she didn't know him. Inside she felt like she didn't know Starscream enough, since they were married and had four children. But, she wanted to keep her feelings to the side. The team quickly pulls together and defeat Bisk by Grimlock doing a cannonball on him. The bots return back to the scrapyard with the Decepticon. For some time, Bee was still curious about Night.

Meanwhile, Russell checks out the field with kids playing football. He joins them and was introduced to a girl named Hank, who was impressed by his helmet his dad gave to him. Russell didn't understand their codes, and was pushed, ends up faced down. He walks away frustrated.

Back at the scrapyard, Grimlock excitedly talk about their mission they all had. The other bots smiled, including Fix-it who was also hearing the story. "Gosh, I would love to get out on the field",Fix-it mentions. Then, Strongarm read a regulation that "mini-cons must remain at their duties at all times."

"Doesn't seem you were built for the tough stuff anyway.",Sideswipe said and Night punches his shoulder. Fix-it frowns.

"But, that's not to say you play a key role on our time",Bee explains.

"Oh, excuse.",Fix-it says while strolling away.

A moment later, Hank arrive to the scrapyard, calling to Russell. "Camo..!",Bee whispers to the bots, meaning to hide. Night uses her human form as another disguise. "Rusty?",she calls again and takes off her glasses. Night was sitting on top of Bumblebee. Now impressed with the yellow car, bee and was thinks that Nightmare was his mother. Hank returns Russell's helmet, tells him to practice the next day and rides away. "Nice kid",Night said and smiles. She gets off of Bee.

"So, can I call you Rusty now?",his dad asked Russell preferred not to be called that. The rest of the bots come out from hiding, Sideswipe comes with Varian in his arms. Her son was sucking on his pointing digit and he became a bit annoyed. "Mind taking your- Son?",he said and gives him to her. Night walks away.

Bee pops up a screen, starts doing a list of Night. Strongarm was curious of what he was doing. He felt something strange about her still.

Strongarm: "Sir, what is it?"

"There's something about Nightmare, something I feel like she's hiding secretive. We'll see."

(At night)

A decepticon, Chop Shop arrives an airfield in a search for something he needs. Fix-it detects his signal. The autobots roll out, but Grimlock had to stand behind on the hill watch the perimeter. They split up to search for the decepticon. Bumblebee hears one of the hangers and moves in, but wasn't prepared when Chop Shop splits into five component bug parts and shocks Bee. Strongarm, Sideswipe, Nightmare and Grimlock come to Bumblebee's aid and they get attacked as well. One bug was on Night, electrocutes her, but she didn't feel any pain from it. The bug was surprised and she kicks him off. Having obtained the component they need, the bugs flee the scene and down into the sewers before the Autobots can stop them. "Is everyone okay?",Night asked the team.

"We're fine. But, their shock didn't look like it was hurting you, Night.",Sideswipe was now concerned. Night rolls her optics at him and walks to Bee.

"Scrap! Who is this bot?",Bee asked himself.

"That.. was Chop Shop. A one man heist crew with a list of crimes.",Night explains who he is. She learned all about the decepticons criminals that were are the Alchemor. They returned to the scrapyard to know more information. Fix-it checks local law enforcement databases for thefts and now they figured out that Chop Shop was building a spaceship to get off Earth. The Autobots send Denny and Fix-it in to investigate. Grimlock stayed behind and was his turn to take care of Varian. Grim looks at Varian, "You don't talk much, do you?",he asked. Varian just opens his mouth, trying to speak a word. Chop Shop arrives at a plant and starts pumping liquid oxygen into a truck. Meanwhile Grimlock stocks cars from boredom, and Varian was watching him. Russell comes over and sighs. He finds Grimlock with Varian. He confesses that he was going to quit the team.

Denny and Fix infiltrate the manufacturing plant by driving up in Strongarm. Nightmare was in her human form, driving on her motorcycle with them, pretending to be safety inspectors. At the scrapyard, as Grimlock tries to talk Russell into going to the football game, Russell kicks his helmet in frustration, and they both watch it go sailing over a nearby building.Varian claps his hands in amazement and smiles.

"They should be around here somewhere",Night says to Strongarm over the com. They both stop and spot Chop Shop filling the tanker.

"Chop Shop is making a run for it..!",Strongarm tells Bee and that he was on his way.

Strongarm tackles one of the bug components. Chop Shop attempts to emerge, but he was missing his right arm. He grabs Fix-it and jams him on his shoulder, Nightmare, Denny and Strongarm were shocked. Fix-it was screaming in pain, "Ow!!"

"Oh scrud"

"No. I'm not even supposed to be here! Ow!",Fix-it complains.

"Hang on, Fix-it!",Night shouted. Chop Shop hits Strongarm with Fix-it and commands his component to take the wheel of the truck. The Autobots set off in pursuit of the tanker, but after a pincer maneuver fails, Chop Shop demolishes an overpass that lands on the three Autobots. "Can't win 'em all",Sideswipe said.

"We haven't lost yet, Sideswipe",Night looks at him.

"First rule of prep identification, memorize the suspect's tire trend."

They follow the tracks of the truck and they reach the abandoned building Chop Shop is using for a base. "We're here.",Night gets off her bike and turns back to a bot. Denny stays back, while they handle Chop Shop. The Decepticon jumps the four as they admire his rocket. Bumblebee warns not to shoot the rocket fuel or Fix-it. Fix-it was used to knockout the Autobots, and he couldn't fight back. Chop Shop electrocutes Bee, causing him to scream. Denny creeps up on one of the bug components, hits it with a pipe, but he's forced to run from the bug. "Fix-it, the team needs you!",Night tells Fix-it, as she helps up Sideswipe and Strongarm.

Finally Fix-it finds the strength to fight back, and begins punching Chop Shop. "I work for my team!". Chop Shop lets go of him from his arm. Nightmare was surprised and proud at the same time. Bumblebee finishes him off by uppercutting him into the tanker, which causes him to freeze, but one of the components scurry off.

They returned back to the scrapyard and Grimlock was impressed by Fix-it's part of the fight.

"Guess you can't spell team with out an F- and uh- is it one X or two",Grimlock exclaims.

"You can't spell I in team, Grimlock. That's how it goes.",Night explains to him.

"How do you know that?",he asked.

"I learn."

"Oh that reminds me, there's some place we have to be",he said.

At the football field, they watch from a discrete distance as Russell punts the ball between the posts. When Russell made the score, everyone cheers, Night cheers along. Night felt proud again, but her smile slowly goes down. She can hear the voices of her children laughing in her head. Her son, Wildracer was excited doing sports. He made a score playing basketball with Bulkhead and Bee. Everyone cheers for him. Now, Bee was calling her name and his voice sounded faded, "Nightmare.. Nightmare...!". She snaps out of it.

"You okay?",he asked. She nodded. He felt that she wasn't alright at all.

"I'm fine.. just feel. proud of this team.. and Russell"
