Chapter 4. Take Me With You

Brian's POV

We were driving through the streets of King County. Trying to get out.

"We're going to Atlanta," Brian said coldly

Jeffrey who was biting his nails and looking out of the window nervously turned around.

" yeah...okay" jeff looked back at Manny who was looking back at jeff" you okay?"

Manny looked at his feet" Not really"

Jeff looked back out of the window
" sorry"

I couldn't help myself thinking about my dad, Manny's parents. Jeremy. I hoped Sam and Jack were okay.

As we were driving I suddenly heard a scream.

" HELP!!" I had my window open and heard it clearly

" HELP ME!!!" I looked around me and saw that the others heard it too.

I honked the horn once so that Shane would stop.

I stopped my car and stepped out.

" HELP!!"

I couldn't let more people die.

Shane stepped out of the car.

" You alright?" He asks troubled

I ignore him.

" did you hear that?" He looked confused

" Hear what?"

"HELP!! SOMEONE" the person wasn't too far away.

I ran towards the person.

Shane yelled and ran after me.

"Brian come back we don't have time for this. We need to go"

My mom stayed inside the car keeping Carl safe.

Manny and Jeffrey ran after me aswell.

I turned the corner and into an alley.

There were three more of those things. And someone was behind a fence. There was no way out besides the fence.

"HEY!!" I yelled making them come towards me.

" Brian what are you doing," Manny asked shocked." They are coming this way.

" I know! but enough people died already. If i can save someone then I will"

Jeff looked scared but grabbed his handgun I did as well and when those things came closer I took a shot hit it in the chest he didn't look hurt he just kept getting closer.

" What the hell?!"

I shot two more rounds nothing happened.

" Damnit Brian don't you ever run off like that again" Shane said Reaching us. He looked at the walkers and grabbed his gun forgetting all about me.

We kept shooting until I hit one in the face and it fell down.

" Brains!! Hit the Brains!!"

Jeff took a shot but missed. And another one but he missed again.

I shot it down before it got to close to him.

Then I almost got attacked by one of them because I wasn't paying attention to it. But Shane shot it down

" JESUS BRIAN!!!" Shane yelled annoyed." you could've gotten hurt!!"

" We can't just leave someone to die."
I shot back at him.
