"So Orlando I thought she wasn't coming" Annie says "she changed her mind" I said shrugging and walking to my table. "So Johnny, why Mackenzie Ziegler" one senior asks "what do you mean" I ask confused "I mean why her, don't get me wrong the girl is funny but that's the only thing she has going for her" they said being more specific "you are a football player literally every girl likes you and you chose her"
"There's nothing wrong with her" I said still confused "are you that blind Orlando, she's weird" they say looking at me like I'm dumb "she has only had 1 boyfriend, she dresses weird, she plays no sports, she literally has 3 friends, she acts likes she's 5, should I keep going" they list 1 by 1 "she's been with me since freshman year, her style Is like retro, she does dance, she doesn't like people, so she likes to mess around, and keep going and I will break you" I said back
"Damn y'all are loud speakers" Kenzie said coming up to my table and sitting in my lap "look dude you know nothing about me but because I'm nice I will tell you why you think what you think" she said "I've only had 1 boyfriend to your knowledge, I dress to my mood and right now I'm feeling angry so I dress angry, I'm not allowed to play sports because of probation, I have 3 friends because I hate people and tbh I really hate you, and last but not least I try to be fun do it might seem as I act 5 but I just love fun" she said
"Any more questions" she asked "I think I'm good for now" he said "ok well bye" she said leaving to her table "did I also mention she's mean" he said and I just rolled my eyes. "Sooooo did you get into the sports camp that you applied for" Joey asked "I don't know they don't send out acceptance letters til March" I said bitting into my fry "and your mom is letting you go to Maryland all by yourself for a semester" he adds "does she have a choice, my dad wants it so she will want it" I say shrugging and turning to Kenzie who is looking a little sad "I'll be right back, anyone need anything" I ask looking at Kenzie "Soda" Joey said "cool" I said leaving
Kenzie POV
As I walk back to my table I hear some of the other kids talking about Johnny and this sports camp 'I wonder if he got in' 'its Orlando we're talking about, he definitely got in' 'and it's a whole semester'. 'I heard he doesn't invite his girlfriend to hangout with us because she's too friendly to people' 'I heard it's because she sleeps around' and so on.
"Hey Kenz, I didn't know you were coming" I heard one of the cheerleaders say "um yeah I wasn't going to but here I am" I said getting uncomfortable "just saying you don't fit in here. I'm not trying to be mean but we are popular and cute, and you are just weird and talked about" they said laughing all I did was walk away to my table. "Hey Kenz so you wanna play skittles basketball with us" Carson asked "no thanks" I say going on my phone to distract myself "do you wanna play band" Carson asked pointing to the back room where the games were "um I'm about to finish this, you can go set up while I finish" I say
"Hey K" someone said from behind me "oh hi" I said knowing it was Johnny "do you wanna come hangout with me" he asked smiling "I can't, I said I would come do this game with Carson,Brynn, and Mandla" I said watching his smile drop "for someone who planned this you haven't spent any time with me" he said frowning "look John, you have your popular friends here just hangout with them and we can hangout at our lame after party" I said in a normal tone "ok,but you have to at least sit with me tonight" he said nudging me in the arm "sure. But if you forget I'm not reminding you" I said smiling "that's fine, anyways go have fun with our friends" he said "my friends, your friends are all out here" I say leaving
"Ok losers let's start this" I say barging through the doors "you can make a CD, wanna make one" Brynn asks holding up an empty disk "yeah but we will have to make 1 then I'll send it to you guys" I said walking over to them "cool so do you have a song you wanna sing" Brynn asks "I wrote this song like 20 minutes ago and I feel like it would be cool" I say "ok cool Just start when your ready" Mandla said
