Bigpaw, Thunderpaw and Silverpaw met their mentors by the entrance of the camp. Fernlight was already up a tree, Silverpelt was washing her fur and Bulltail talking to Riverswift and Sunsetstar. "Today you're going to be assessed on you're hunting skills" Riverswift told the three apprentices. "Silverpelt, Bulltail and Fernlight will watch you and report back to us. Good luck" he added before walking away with Sunsetstar. Fernlight jumped out of the tree "Bigpaw you will be by tall rocks, Thunderpaw you're by flat stones and Silverpaw you're by the river. Good luck" she said.
Bigpaw padded over to tall rocks and sniffed around for prey. He smelt mouse. He crept towards it. Suddenly there was a defining yowl. Bigpaw's mouse ran off. He looked up and ran towards the yowl thinking Fernlight was getting attacked. A shadowy cat attacked him and killed him with a swift bite.

Fernlight looked around whilst walking tall rocks and spotted Bigpaw's life less body and screamed.

"Bigpaw has been killed. He is now with Star Clan" Sunsetstar said to his clanmates
