I glanced at the clock, to see it was already 3:50 PM.
Great!
I must have fallen asleep, after getting beat up. Cameron told me to text him after I asked Jaxon, but he isn't here and I don't have my phone and there is no way, I'm gonna go to Maverick and ask for my phone back. He would literally kill me.
Thibbault? No, definitely not. He will beat me up so bad, that I wouldn't even be able to hang out.
It hurts me to know that they're my brothers, yet they make me feel like I'm not even related to them.
Elliot? Let me check if he is home because he's usually out.
They all barely live at home.
I took a deep breath and walked downstairs and fortunately, I found Elliot sitting on a couch.
"E-Elliot?" I called out. He looked up at me from his phone.
"What?" He asked.
I stood there silently, too scared to speak.
"What is it, Connor?" His voice morphed into a soft tone.
"I need my phone to call Jaxon." I whispered, staring at the ground.
"Why do you wanna call Dad?" He asked curiously.
"I want to go hang out with my friends, so I need to ask him." I mumbled.
His lips pursed into a slight smirk and his gaze met mine. "It didn't take you a while to make friends, huh?" I giggled at him in response.
I watched Elliot dial Jaxon's number before handing the phone to me, when he picked it up.
"I swear Elliot, once I return home and you're going to get grounded for three months." I felt my eyes widened at his sudden exasperation.
I glanced at Elliot, only to find him laughing his head off.
"I-It's me." I managed to say that.
"Oh sorry, I thought it's Elliot. He has been calling me since the morning for asking some silly questions." I heard him chuckled in the background. "But what's up? Why did you call me?"
"Um, I was wondering if I could hang out with my friends?" I questioned him, nervously, in a hope, he'll say yes.
"Of course, you can! Wait, where's your phone?" He asked, causing me to gulp loudly.
"Th-e battery's low." I lied.
"Okay, no problem. Be back by 6 and have fun!" I smiled at his response and he hung up.
