I walked inside the basketball court. Glancing around, I spotted a ball lying in the corner and I moved forward to pick it up.

A small smile pulled my lips, as my eyes turned to see a horizontal circular metal hoop, supporting a net through which players try to throw the basketball.

I've seen Thibbault and my friends playing basketball and it really seems such an interesting game to me, but I've never tried to play nor have I submitted my name, yet.

I have no idea how to play this game but I think it's time to give it a go.

I slowly raised the basketball in order to aim at the hoop but unfortunately, I lost the shot. I sighed and tried once again.

You should practise to dribble first.

When I lost hope that I would ever make it to the hoop, I began to start dribbling.

"Tryna play basketball, Connor?" I flinched at someone's voice.

I turned around to see Thibbault standing, grinning at me. It has been a long time since he has spoken to me.

"I was just trying." I mumbled, lifting my shoulders in an uncertain shrug.

"I'm glad that one of my brothers is interested in basketball." He smiled, snatching the basketball from my hand.

I stayed silent, and didn't know what to say when he said. "Let me show you how to play this game."

"Really? Would you tell me to play basketball?" I asked, getting excited to learn.

"Why not? You don't have to go anywhere to learn basketball when your brother is already a champion of this game." He stated proudly.

I found myself grinning with happiness.

"Ready?"

"Yeah."

"So, first you should know about the rules of the basketball." He said, being himself a coach.

A small chuckle escaped my lips. "What's there to laugh?" He asked, raising his brow.

"Nothing, sorry." I quickly replied.

He chuckled. "I know, this is weird, but you seem really interested to learn. Guess I should teach you then."

"Listen carefully to some basic rules." He stated.

"Rule 1: You must bounce, or dribble, the ball with one hand while moving both feet. If, at any time, both hands touch the ball or you stop dribbling, you must move only one foot.

"Rule 2: You can only take one turn at dribbling."

The rules go on.

"Got it?"
