"I called off the wedding." She simply said.
"Wow." He responded. "Okay."
"I couldn't do it..." She whispered.
"Why? Diba maayos na ang lahat? I just sent my RSVP pa nga oh. What happened?" He was dumbfounded.
Ang bilis ng pangyayari. Just a few months ago, she was excitedly sharing the details of her wedding, and he offered his congratulations.
After years of dancing around the idea of them being together, it was finally over. She made a choice and he accepted it. She was happy, and he knows she deserve it.
"I don't want to settle...I realized I don't love him for the right reasons. I've been lying to myself all this time..." Pag-amin ni Rita.
"Baka nabibigla ka lang, alam mo normal yan sa mga ikakasal. Kinakabahan sila, they get wedding jitters..." He was trying to talk some sense into her.
"I still love you..." Her eyes were pleading. Imbis na matuwa, galit ang nadarama ni Ken.
"Ang labo mo... Ang daya mo, Ta!"
Ngayon kung kailan okay na siya, saka na naman nito guguluhin ang isip at puso niya.
"You never left my heart...Diba sabi mo, pag-isipan ko. Kaso, sabi natin hanggang doon lang - sa pagka-kaibigan lang talaga tayo. Pero ilang taon na nagdaan, di pa rin nawawala. I still feel the same way." Dagdag ni Rita.
"Why do I feel like I've been here before? Ayan ka na naman eh. You're playing with my feelings..."
"I'm telling the truth. Don't you love me anymore?"
"I never said that I love you... I'm sorry, but I don't trust you. I just can't..."
"You did. You said you loved me... That one night. Alam kong natatandaan mo yun..."
"Funny how we remember it differently, do you want me to refresh your memory?"

Flashback...sa isang birthday party.

Naka-ngiti lang si Ken habang pinapanood si Rita kumanta. "Ang ganda talaga ng boses niya..." He thought. Lalo siyang humahanga dahil tila siya ang kinakantahan nito. Siya naman itong tanga, parang kinikilig pa. Naisipan niyang video-han ang performance ng kaibigan.
"Oh, patingin nga! Kinuhaan mo pala ko kanina ah." Sabi sa kanya ni Rita pagbaba niya ng stage.
"Galing mo talaga Ta, nanliliit na naman ako. Lalo na namang nakakahiya makipag-duet sayo..."
"Hihi. Thank you! Hala si Ken Chan oh, pa-humble. Sabi ko naman sayo magaling ka rin eh basta seryosohin mo diba. OPM love songs mga timbrehan mo. Lakas maka-gwapo..."
"Salamat ah, coach!"
"Oh, sige nga! Sample nga ng falsetto natin diyan.."
